TheShishKebab
So after hours and hours and even more hours of trying to make my Skyrim somewhat stable I've finally given up, every time I start a new game I usually get an ILS as soon as I try something or I get random crashes. I can't play for more than 4 minutes before I crash, no matter what I do. I've tried searching numerous forums on what to do but nothing has worked, I have no .ini files anywhere. Also my LOOT said that both Skyrim plus all the DLCs were dirty with ALOT of ITMs and deleted navmeshes, i used TESVedit to clean them and a lot of other mods but didn't do anything. I use ALOT of mods and with no visible performance impact on the game but I have no doubt they're whats causing the issues. Please help
Thallassa
Honestly, I recommend reading through this beginner's guide. It covers a lot of stability things, including things that will help greatly with your ILS and random crashes.
MathLeBeau
My automatic answer is, make always a clean save before install any mod. After install a mod, test it in game, than if you do not like it remove it a load your game again with the clean save, NOT whit the a save that you maked wand you had the mod active. 4kzero
Do you use the Memory blocks log and SSME? if not, then check this out.
Thallassa
Not SSME. SKSE memory patch.SSME is another one of those things that was a year out of date when I joined the community. Can't believe people are still recommending it. SKSE is more stable (according to Sheson, I dunno, I don't program anything) and more flexible (you can increase the block sizes!), as well as having other advantages as well (in the same step as setting up the memory patch, you can also allow high res warpaints and a diagnostic tool that will tell you exactly which plugins you're missing whenever skyrim crashes due to missing plugins! TheShishKebab
Man... I'm just gonna give up, this mod stuff is way too time consuming and every time I seem to get somewhere something always goes wrong. I don't know how y'all make heads or tails of this. Peace.
