LX6R
I would really like to do the stealth way, but it's hardly possible. Would love a mod which achieve: more effective sneakingleaning and peeking around walls (like NPCs actually can)go prone (good for sniping also)adding melee kill animations (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3386180-killmove/) stealth weapons (bow, chain to strangle someone, throwing knives etc)ability to hide dead bodiesimproved AI (they keep searching you when you are too loud or kill someone, not stopping after some time)fast sneakingAnd stuff like that. neonie
As someone who tries to play a sniper in this game, I approve of these ideas. Seems like something someone will very likely eventually make but yeah. Kind of disheartening when I pimped out my rifle with a silencer and scope, only to be detected almost instantaneously on the catwalk when I was in the crouched, sneaking position, and the first shot I fire off alerts everyone. But I guess another problem is, as a stealth character, you can't figure out the layout and enemy placements of a building without already knowing where they are. I don't know how many entrances there are. I don't know which is the best one to take for a stealth run. I don't know where the enemies are when I enter the building. So stealth runs, if you intend to actually execute them, would take a lot of saving and reloading. But since the first enemy you kill alerts everyone else no matter what, even with a silencer, I guess it's impossible right now anyway. But the most frustrating thing is getting a successful head-shot on someone and they live through it. How am I supposed to "one shot, one kill" someone if it's luck of the draw whether a successful shot will actually work? GSmog
Can already hide dead bodies and move stuff around... hold E on them and can drag them around. :p I think theres a perk to move faster when sneaking too now that I think about it. theres also perks for more effective sneaking, and some armor mods too that help with it. Kill moves will probably come in time, as will more weapons. Other than that, I dont think bethesda's AI is really that bad other than the crazy abandon of all survivor sense when they get a melee weapon. And... I dunno about prone but would be nice for more accurate aiming :p
pablosplinter
You actually can lean round corners, with a weapon equipped anyway. Is that what you meant? Edited November 13, 2015 by pablosplinter
Pthalo
Okay first: How does one lean around corners like npc's do? Second: I fully approve of this mod idea as a sneaky-arsed sniper. One of my favourites stealth tweaks though, was removing the [ HIDDEN ] notification at the top of the screen. A toggle-able option to hide it in this mod would be amaze-o. Realistically, I won't know if someone's spotted me - unless I'm watching their face and see they're drawing a weapon or something. Magically knowing you're hidden enough always seemed weirdly omniscient. I really enjoyed the added tension of "crap, did he see that?". Obviously, this aspect of stealth is not to everyone's liking. But dang, I'd give it two or more thumbs up (depends on my rad count). Bonus: reloading guns as a small sound event more perceptive enemies may notice. Yes? No? LX6R
You actually can lean round corners, with a weapon equipped anyway. Is that what you meant? How? I mean the peek animation which npcs do when they hide behind cover. I would like to have it like in GTA 5, where you can cover and peek in first person
Kobool
This might not be what you're after but try toggling on walk when sneaking. it makes you move very slow but you are alot hader to detect. default key is caps lock. as for peeking around corners in first person you have to aim at the wall/corner when you are close to it with right click and your char will peek out, enemies will still see you is they are facing that corner tho but i think only your head and weapon will be visible. What I would love is something similar to GTA 5, where you can go into cover and peek in third and in first person. Also I would like to look over some stuff and not only right and left. I imagine a mod to be like that: when your gun goes down because a wall etc is detected, you can press a button to switch into cover stance, which means that you character leans with his back on the wall (both standing or crouching possible or even prone, like in Ghost Recon Phantoms) Now when you are in cover mode, you have the possibility to peek (aim) around a side or over an obstacle (maybe even blindfire) - when you peek to the right side, player would change the way he holds the gun (change right/left hand) Would look like in this picture: http://pad1.whstatic.com/images/thumb/6/6c/Take-Cover-in-Grand-Theft-Auto-(GTA)-5-Step-4.jpg/670px-Take-Cover-in-Grand-Theft-Auto-(GTA)-5-Step-4.jpgAnd when you are on the other side you would use the other hand.
