Hey all, my screenshot function isn't working for some reason so I can't get screencaps yet, but I've been poking around in the game files like you guys asked and will do more tomorrow as well. Maybe I can help figure out what's causing the bugs

I was thinking... you think we could do something related to Nick's... *ahem* involvement with Far Harbor (If you've gotten there in the questline you know exactly what I mean... argh, trying not to spoil!)

The artwork is here!

(Those .png files are intended to be section headings. You might not be able to see them clearly in my dropbox because they’re white text on a transparent background, but if you download them to your computer it should open up properly).

So, guys, let me know what you think and, so long as there are no changes to be made, I’ll upload the art along with the Nexus description.

I will also have to tweak the description a little for Bethesda.net, I just realised, as we’ll need probably need some console-specific information there. Ma bad :/ I’ll adjust what we currently have and link it for you to check over asap.

By the way, Shadow, good job on keeping up with the posts/comments on the Nexus page :) I’ve been trying to answer questions on the Bethesda.net but it’s a lot less busy.

Also, just to keep everyone on the same page, here is the bug checklist so far:

  • Have those credits been fixed on the file to include everyone?

  • Subtitles and expressions need to be updated. Kiddo, would you be able to do this?

  • Version control – it would be good if we could make sure our versions are consistent. On Nexus the newest version of our mod is listed as version 1.1 but on Bethesda.net we’re up to version 2, even though as far as I’m aware they’re the same version of the mod.

  • Infatuation repeater scene not working. Bette, have you got the long version of the scene that we might be able to look over?

Also, Shadow, I don’t know if this would help you troubleshoot, but I saw in the Nexus posts that you were after a save file where the PC has max affinity with Nick and has completed his personal quest. I’d be happy to send you mine, (you’ll just have to tell me how :P), though I have modded my game a bit. Just let me know if that would help you :)

  • Someone on the Nexus said they had an issue with the voice and lip files not working but it sounded like they fixed it themselves? Was it just a slightly faulty install?

  • Nick’s eyes being stuck down when he says our lines.

Other than that, guys, we’ve been getting an overwhelmingly positive response for this XD Just check the Nexus comments if you ever need to feel good about this project!

Hey Kiddo! No worries about the screencaps – I already have some as you’ll see in the artwork I uploaded to my dropbox. I was just asking in case you wanted to add some of your own art as well :)

In regard to the bug fixing, Shadow is leading the charge on that front, but I don't think that having more hands on deck would hurt. Maybe you guys can talk between yourselves and see if you can help each other out? :)

Definitely not opposed to this idea :) (The FEELS in Far Harbor though… just ung, my heart.)

I updated the Nexus page with the art and the description, but it's still all changeable if there are any issues :)

I can't change the Bethesda.net page though. Shadow, is it possible you could make us admins/co-authors on the Bethesda page? Otherwise, you can just use the art in my dropbox. Let me know if you need me to alter images sizes or whatever, because I'm not sure if Bethesda.net has any size caps on their images :)

I think it turned out great! The changes to the description looked good to me, and the final version of the logo artwork is awesome (love the old grainy black and white film look!). Very nice screenshots too!

Almost done with the long version of the infatuation repeater scene! I will try to have something up later today for everyone to listen to and see what they think.

Also, I tested out the 1.1 version of the mod and I had the same issue with the voice and lip files not working that people on the Nexus page described. I'm not sure if the problem is universal, but it seems like the .BA2 archive in version 1.1 may not be working - the plugin isn't looking for the audio/lip/script files there.

People who were having this issue on the Nexus page were manually extracting the files from that archive and placing them in their sound and scripts folders to fix the issue (instead I just re-loaded the 1.0 version of the mod since the files were still loose then, and then replaced the old .esp with the new one in my data folder, but in effect that's doing the same thing). So I think for version 2.0 (or.. should we call it 3.0 so the Nexus and Bethesda.net versions can match?) we may need to either find out why the plugin isn't looking for the files in the archive, or just keep all the files loose since we know that works.

I did not notice the eyes being stuck down bug myself, though. Is it during all of our new lines or just some of them? Anyone know?

As a side note, I've now got game saves for testing each conversation and for taking screenshots/video of them if we still need any of that!

I've been wondering about that too! (I actually haven't gotten there in the game but I kinda already spoiled it for myself by poking around the internet too much. Whoops )

Shadow and Sigrid, since you guys have gotten past that point in the questline, what sort of thing did you have in mind (if there is a way you can describe it without getting spoiler-y for anyone seeing this)?

I have no idea how to (or even if I can) do that on Bethesda.Net. As for the version control, stupid Bethesda.Net automatically made it so that the next version is 2 not 1.1 and I don't know how or if we can change it. Not to mention the Xbox version is still version 1... this is so ridiculous!

In other news, the page looks great! Thanks, Bette!

As for the Far Harbor thing, definitely something to do with

DiMA, his brother, and maybe the holotape where

Nick attacks DiMA and DiMA fights back and leaves him for dead

. Maybe a conversation with the PC along the lines of "So I notice the way you look at my brother..." or something like that. Of course, it would have to be set to trigger before the end of the Main Quest because you can

convince DiMA to surrender for the... ahem, things he did, thus leading to him getting killed.

Eeep, I think you meant to thank Sigrid for the page not me, but I agree, it looks great!
That is frustrating that each of the sites handles their version numbering differently. If we can't change the Bethesda.net one I guess we could go up a whole number every time we update on Nexus to match... but that doesn't address whatever is going on with Xbox's version numbering. Super weird.

I love the idea of adding something like that! Spoiler-y followup question:

Does the player character currently have any conversations with Nick in Far Harbor about DiMA? Also, slightly unrelated, but I've been wondering... if you were to go to Far Harbor before going through all of Nick's affinity conversations from the main game, are those conversations affected at all by that, or are they still exactly the same?

Oops yes, yes I meant Sigrid. My bad. It's getting close to crunch time here for me so i'm kind of... frazzled. While I've not experienced this myself I have heard reports that the conversations are different if you did/ are doing Far Harbor before/ during them. And while Nick does have conversations about him, it's more like "what do you think of him" than

So... he's my brother. Although there is one conversation right after you get the holotape where Nick asks you whether he should try to reconcile with DiMA.
