Textures Replacer Not Working.

I just wanted to install some retextures of the Pip-Boy, Eyes, Dogmeat skin and a Font mod. I made all the changes to all required .ini files according to each read me file within each mod. I got the correct paths but in-game nothing has changed. Just feeling like I should wait for Mod Manager support. Also, there was some inconsistency with installation instructions. Some mods were asking me to edit .ini files with incorrect folder paths. I seem to have 2 differents Fallout4Prefs.ini, one being in Documents/My Games/Fallout4 and the other inside the installation folder of the game.

Also, I watched a tutorial video made by AlChestBreach about the B.A.E utility. I think it was oriented to mod authors but made wonder. Shouldn't I have to unpack the textures I'm supposed to replace?

I'm having the same issue with my INI`s edited. i don't know if its a problem with my computer settings, maybe something in nvidia. But F4 will not enable my texture replacments

Are you guys experiencing this using Nvidia drivers?

Note im not a dumb ass and my ini`s are set up as specified by gopher and every other person on the Nexus.

For what i knows it don't have anything to do with your GPU Driver one thing you need to check is if your Folder is in read only mode because min was so i couldn't edit the files there is 2 way to deal with it.

  1. make the folder to not only Read mode.
  2. open the file save it on desktop and copy, paste it to the folder and overwrite the old one.

also follow this to make sure its done right and remember it don't work for .esp there you need to do a little more then just edit the ini files.

A guide to setting up your PC version of Fallout 4 for modding. This does not show you how to install mods, but rather set your game up ready for mods to be installed. These edits are required for installed mods to work in your game.

You will need to add the following line to the Fallout4Prefs.ini file above the section marked [Launcher]:

bEnableFileSelection=1

You will need to change the following line in Fallout4.ini:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

or you can download this mod if you feel that's better.

nexusmods

Also remember to have a folder called texture in the Data folder where you have all the texture in it like this.

11227949_967866473292764_352899984628946

and If it's a .esm file then its a little harder then that then you need to put it in to the Fallout Data folder and ether manual add the name of the .esm file in the plugins.txt in your C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Fallout 4 Folder or download this http://www.nexusmods...out4/mods/487/?

If you have a Fallout4.ini file in your Data folder (steamapps/Fallout 4/Data/Fallout4.ini), it's overshadowing your Fallout4.ini file in your Documents/My Games/Fallout4/Fallout4.ini

Rename/remove the one in your Data directory.

I had this issue.
