antartica1999
For about a month now (have only attempted to fix problem since f4 release), I have not been able to load nexusmods. I have tried resolving it with my own troubleshooting, but have not yet found a solution. The page usually takes ~6-7 minutes to load, and ends up looking like this. https://gyazo.com/d8403b908c8ef300034fea3f6961f900 Here is my tracert: https://gyazo.com/27ea030bb87e056e95f113fd14101e29 Here are the chrome errors found: https://gyazo.com/453d3b6a63e3722ce24401eba52e669bhttps://gyazo.com/a4c9482bae37a8426e50cc3c9d5549a4 I have also found another post suggesting that this may be a problem where ATNT (my service provider) cannot connect to one of the intermediate sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
akalor
Mine also loads extremly slowly and gives me that exact same gruesome-looking page even though my internet works fine: 70.000 kbit/s down and 10.000kbit/s up (uploading a file is still a pain though)But still, atleast it loads at all for me >.>
bonestangle
Precisely the same problem as the OP. Up until a week ago I was able to login to Skyrim Nexus without a hitch, and now, after several minutes the page loads and is displayed like in the OP. I've been chipping away at this ever since and made zero progress. Extremely frustrating, since I was all geared for FO4!
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted November 24, 2015 Community Manager Share Posted November 24, 2015 Hi there, It looks like you're struggling to connect to our static content server which contains all our CSS, images, scripts and the like. Obviously, if you can't load any of this content it's going to affect things massively! The best way to test this theory is to go to http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/staticindex.html If you see a page that tells you it loaded fine, then that's not the issue. If you don't see a page, it times out or it gives some sort of error, that's the problem. If you cannot load the page then I have absolutely no idea why, considering it's working for the hundreds of thousands of people using the site each day at the moment. It's a relatively new subdomain we've setup for the serving of our static content, but your ISP should have updated their DNS servers by now. bonestangle
Unfortunately I'm not able to load that page, connection timed out. I did, however, test a laptop on the same connection today and with it was able to connect to nexusmods no bother. So now I know this issue is with my machine. Figuring out the cause is another matter. I've tried alternate browsers - IE, Chrome and reinstalling Firefox - sweeped the system for any malware and such, disabled antivirus/firewall etc, Flushed DNS, made sure cookies are enabled etc - none of which helped. It's the same outcome, very odd. Oh well, I'll keep working at this, and thanks for the info BTW, it was something at least. antartica1999
Sorry about the late response; I thought it had been abandoned. If anyone is still updated to this post, I am in the same situation as bonestangle. I have tried nexusmods/that site and they work when I am using an external laptop. I suppose I will just have to troubleshoot my computer, since it seems to be a problem with my machine.
scristopher462
Check your hosts file for entries which may not belong, it could be a false positive that got added to your hosts file.
antartica1999
Unfortunately, that is not the problem. My host file is completely empty (in the IP section). I have also tried changing DNS, resetting my ipv4 and ipv6 settings, and the general troubleshooting. The odd thing is that the tracert from my laptop (where the site works) is the same as the tracert on my computer. Also, I am sure that it is static site causing the problem, though only with my machine. I am actually out of solutions at this point, -- I really don't know what the problem is. antartica1999
Hello if anyone is still encountering this problem, I have found a solution: use the Tor browser. For some reason I guess the proxy is able to load the staticdelivery content. Cheers!
