RocBat Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 i hope that they filter out the mods that xbox one cant run and crash so that we dont have to deal with deleting saves and re playing stuff because of a corrupt file so i just want to see if anyone has had this problem
TheVampireDante Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 The console mods will almost certainly have to be run through Bethesda's own site they plan on setting up, so I would surmise that they plan on screening them before allowing the public to download the files. Only thing left to be concerned with would be compatibility with other mods and/or game patches.

SharraShimada Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 You will certainly not see ANY mod on ps4 or xbox, bethesda has not checked and approved. So don´t expect to much from console-mod-support. I dont think there will be as near as much mods as for PC.

Dukoth Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 we'll have to wait and see how robust the system is, I doubt bethesda will have the recources to test every mod that gets uploaded, they would quickly get outpaced
JimboUK Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Maybe there will be some kind of automated system to check them? I can't see Microsoft or Sony allowing a free for all.
SharraShimada Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I woul think, there will be a dedicated program modders can join. They will sign, that they respect certain rules. For example, no exzessive use of high-detailed textures or heavy scripted objects. An i think, there will be several categories of mods. For example simple texture replacers, to make weapons look different, or something like that. The easier the mod (in technical terms), the higher the chance you can transfer you mod to xbox/ps4. Very complex mods, like complete new areas, as seen in skyrim, will not be possible on game-consoles, due to limited ressources.

Do you seriously think bethesda of all companies will allocate the manpower needed to check all mods?As if their games themselves wouldn't be full of errors and issues. lol
KFieLd Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I agree. I very much doubt that you'll see console mod support on the same level as PC modding. We have free reign to create & implement whatever we want on PC with no oversight. The same CANNOT be said for console. It's impossible. Until I'm proved otherwise.
