Two Questions

I just started playing Oblivion about a week ago. Surprisingly I'm liking it very much but have 2 questions to ask.

 

1.) I've noticed with the "Switch View/Vanity Mode" (R-Key), that I can't swing all the way around to the view my character completely from the front but I see screenshots that others apparently make of those full frontal views. How do you view the full frontal of your character?

 

2.) I killed a Boar close to where my character's little house is. The corpse just stays there. Is there a way to get rid of it?

1. Open the console with the ` (~) button, and type TFC. You'll be able to move out of your character's body (make sure you are in first person, or it'll look very weird) and look at your character or whatever from any angle and distance.

 

2. It should disappear after a while but okay. You could open the console, click on it with the mouse and type disable but I don't know if that's a good solution. You could also use resurrect on it, run away and kill it somewhere else. This also resets the boars inventory so make sure you didn't store any items in it!

By holding down the "switch view", you can manipulate the camera without having to use the debugging console mentioned above.

About three days it should disappear. The trick is, the corpse will disappear when a new critter is spawned in the vincinity.

 

I've seen instances (when exploring a favorite cave or dungeon) that the whole reset will occur three days from your last visit: if you keep popping in to look every other day, the corpses may never disappear. Early in one of my character's lives, every time I revisited one particular cave to loot it, the danged place remained completely unchanged for over a week! Why? I kept coming back every two-and-a-half days, which rolled the countdown to zero all over again. However, the cavern that sat one level deeper within this cave system had reset, because while I kept checking the first cave level and finding no change, I neglected to progress into the second cave level the whole time.

Thanks all for the help. I just resurrected it, led it out and killed it again out of sight.

I have seen where some corpses do not disappear at all...every...for months.

usually in conjuntion with some mod that put them there in the first place.

in that case ~disable, is a must i think....unless you like the look and smell of months old corpses :)

Another thing you could do to see the front of yourself is by doing nothing and after a few minutes the camera will rotate around your character.
