Lost2270 Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 I re-bought Oblivion, and after around three weeks of trying to get it modded, have given up and turn to you for help. So I've been trying to get my oblivion game stable for awhile now, I've run it threw boss, I've redirected the BSA archives, I've bashed patched the s#*! out of it, LoDGen, the works, and I still crash every 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay. Please, any help is appreciated, I'm sick and tired of trying to get this to work all on my own, so I turn to you, people with vastly more modding experince and time than I have. Lost2270 Posted November 15, 2015 Author Share Posted November 15, 2015 Additional Information. My crashs are most aparent on the road from Chorrol to Bruma, or when trapsing around the wilderness. I thought maybe it was UL, but I've downloaded all the compatiablity patchs that I think I need, So I'm unsure if its that. I have heap management turned on in OSR, Which I do belive should help, and quiet feet turned on in the tweak section. Seriously, I'm not sure what other additional information I can give to help anyone solve this problem, as I have only a limited and beginners knowladge of modding :sad: Any response or help at all will be appreciated, compatiblities I missed or Mods that dont work correctly, anything. Looks like you're using BOSS, so that's cool. A lot of your mods I don't know or recognise. I'd suggest (re-)reading readmes to ensure things like the two MMM ESPs aren't happening. If you're no closer to identifying the culprit then a binary search (information for Morrowind but applies to Oblivion just as well) is your best bet. And lastly, WTF dude? I had thought I'd disabled MMM.esp, but it apears i missed that, so I will indeed disable that and see if that fixes the problem. Regardless, I appreciate the help that you've given. I have crowded cities 15 turned off, but not removed from my load order, should I follow up and do that? I'm not sure if it'll matter. And holy crap, I'd been hoping to avoid checking my mods one at a time, but a binary search is a great answer to that problem. If the problem presists, I'll try that. In the meantime, anyone with any additional information, any help would be appreciated. I'm only about three weeks deep in the modding scene, and learning by trail and error is frustrating, so let me know if anyone out their has more information. As a last restort, I'll try uninstalling everything and reinstalling my mods in the proper order, but I'd rather avoid that as it takes a few hours. lubronbrons Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 if you using Wrye bash with 'auto ghost' turned on, it will not matter.Oblivion tend to load inactive esp that will cause problems sometimes,so with help of auto-ghost from wrye bash the .esp extension become .ghostthe mod will remain inactive in mod list till you turn in on againIMHO, after much hassle re-install everything... experience and insight will go up drasticallybecause become mod detective is stress and time consumingfinally, when its all good and done... the paid off is great escape fantasy with hard earned work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
