I would love that my character would unequip the Power Armor helmet when not in combat and put it back on, when the combat starts. CONDITIONS (for the script to be active)Player Character equipped with the Power Armor framePower Armor helmet present in the inventoryPower Armor helmet not equipped in head slot MANUAL OVERRIDE (in case someone needs a bonus or requires full protection in certain scenarios)Player Character equipped with the Power Armor framePower Armor helmet equipped in head slot IDLE(neither PC or Companion is engaged in combat)Player Character is not in combatCompanion is not in combatPower Armor helmet is present in PC inventory3-5 seconds delay (since the last combat) before script takes off the helmet IN COMBAT(PC and/or Companion is engaged in combat)Player Character AND/OR Companion is in combatPower Armor helmet is equipped immediately when the combat starts by the script ADDITIONAL NOTESIt would be perfect if scripted equip/unequip would preserve the items (glasses, mask, hat, etc.) equipped by Player Character when not using a Power ArmorIf more than one Power Armor helmet is present in the PC inventory, the script would choose the one with highest armor rating ---- Advanced optional features:When the character is not in combat and 3-5 seconds have passed an animation of PC taking off the helmet is visible in 3rd person view (a reversed animation of Danse putting on his helmet when going for a mission to Arc Jet Systems labs)The same script available for the Companions---- I probably didn't took every possibility into account, so please feel free to implement according to your best judgement :smile: Cheers! Moksha8088 Posted March 12, 2016 Share Posted March 12, 2016 You put a lot of thought into making a pretty or handsome character for yourself only to have it be obscured by some helmet which also impedes your field of vision. registrator2000 Posted March 13, 2016 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Hi, until there is a dedicated mod for this, two of my mods used together may be able to accomplish something similar to your request. Outfit Switcher will let you create loadouts that can be hot-keyed. You'd have two loadouts, one with and one without your power armor helmet. Visible Weapons will enable automatic equipping / unequipping of items when your weapon is drawn / holstered. You can link it to the loadout activator from Outfit Switcher. The net result is when you draw your weapon (in combat), your helmet is automatically equipped, and when you holster your weapon (out of combat), your helmet will be unequipped.
