Drakematter
I'm using NMM. I was able to start the game with mods active before. However when I load up the launcher today, all my .esps are turned off shortly afterwards (3 seconds or so). They aren't active in game either. What could be causing this? Was there an update to Fallout or NMM that broke something I wasn't aware of? Any information I need to volunteer to possibly solve this? Thanks,SRPigeon
hammy811
Having the same issue, was working fine a short time ago...
hammy811
Issue is with the beta, opt out of it if you want to use mods.
Dhegonus
if you downloaded the beta update - they automatically disable mods as it is a beta patch and they are wanting feedback on the vanilla game. Easy to get around, just use the exe that takes you straight into the game, do no use the games launcher.
killgore
thx dhegonus I opted for the previous beta and don't remember it did that, I tought it might have been intended as idiots post .ini changes, framerate unlock and mod problems as feedback for the official game sighI can't directly start the game exe, it starts the launcher instead hmmm I'll just block writing on the .txt in \AppData\Local\Fallout4I'm not using weird mods (for now) only the blood decal fix that they should have done years ago seriously ><
KingXerxes
I have this issue even though I have never opted into the Beta. I can confirm it is NOT always because you have the beta. My way around it is to manually make the plugins txt file and loadorder txt file "Read only" before launching the game. This deny's fallout any ability to disable the plugins. Alaratt
When I logged into steam today it updated FO4. I am not participating in any beta. So, whatever the update was, its not the beta.
paredquill
Making the plugins.txt and teh loadorder.txt files read only worked for me. Thanks. Just have to remember to undo this when adding any new mods.
