chris 07
I dont think that someone would kill someone else with a sword. Maybe in sucide but to kill other people they are probably going to guns, like in virginia tech.
Ginji
And its easier to hide a gun than a whopping great sword. Don't you need a licence for both?

Don't you need a licence for both? No, you don't need any sort of licence to buy a sword, all you need is proof that you're 18...at least that's how it is here. Anyway: -Don't own swords, and make a map of your school for any violent game- now that's clutching a straws.
Vagrant0
Anyway: -Don't own swords, and make a map of your school for any violent game- now that's clutching a straws.I'm guilty of both... Was also tormented endlessly from 1st grade on... Don't have much value for life, human or otherwise. Have enough planning ability to carry out a situation. Despite the fact that I had the capacity and the possible motive to do so, I didn't go on a rampage killing anyone. I had enough restraint to know a stupid act only creates problems for others. I guess I fail. However it is worth noting how fun some schools, malls, offices, homes and other common places look for a FPS setting. Why do you think most of the settings for FPS games these days are in homes, malls, offices, and other similar spaces? Go play SWAT 4, people do little more than run around an office building shooting at eachother for several hours straight. They should probably be fired from their office type jobs right? The problem is that people get carried away by the news stories, and forget that the only real difference between that guy who shoots up the school, and the one who doesn't is that the one who did saw it as a realisticaly viable option. Guns aren't that hard to get if you're determined, swords are even easier, it is having a reason to aquire and/or use them, that is the problem. If you get rid of anger, frustration, madness as the reasons, you will also get rid of most of the violence associated with those items. As such restraint is almost unheard of in western society, and still rare in most others, people, myself included, assume such things to be associated for less noble persuits. However a determined person is a determined person, the harder you make something to get, the more they want it.

I then went on to try and make a UT04 map based on it, but I have a memory like a goldfish so it was impossible.
Rhydderch Hael
Quite odd. Any and all fantasies I've had about violence at my high school involved the place being taken over by criminals or terrorists, and I'd end up fighting them in order to rescue my fellow classmates and teachers. "Getting back" at those who teased me involved earning their gratitude for saving their lives. Go figure. That's morality for ya'. *adjusts white hat*
