Khormin
Oh, I get it. And that goes up if you get a certain Luck perk, IIRC.And yes, with the discussions I've been part of in here, about how to get skulls out of corpses, kill your friends, dismember children, turn invaders into fertilizer, etc, it has seemed rather onionish. Then again, I'm a tabletop roleplayer who specialises in running postmodern suspense mysteries and writing a paper on genetic alterations to change a parasitic microbe to a symbiotic one, so my google search history would probably raise eyebrows as well.On topic, I'll take a look at the settings, though it'd be about 8 on my list of "things to do", eta approximately three weeks; I'll bookmark the page in the meantime. Nebrule
Cool, I'll keep sniffin around for a solution as well and give this a bump every now and again.
PedroBears
I haven't found a way to affect the exploding body parts rate, but I've made a tweak that makes it much more bearable for me. I realized much of what annoys me is the ridiculous, excessive fountains of blood that come out upon dismemberment, like the guy sat on a blood-filled fire hydrant or something. Changing the following 3 files to alpha .dds textures reduces the blood splatter to a realistic spurt instead of a gush. However, note that doing this may have adverse side effects as the textures are used for fluids other than blood within the game, or so I hear. I haven't personally encountered any problems. Within data/textures/effects, I changed the following to alpha files (after unpacking the originals with bae extractor): FluidSplat02_d.ddsFluidSplat02_n.ddsFluidSplatsSmallAtlas_d.dds
onideath
hopefully when the geck comes out the modders can make a better gore mesh or something, having a head explode with a clean cut from the neck looks really stupid Edited March 11, 2016 by onideath
TheyCallMeTrinity
So I know this is an old thread but I really wanted to find something that stops exploding limbs and I think I found it.
