Anvillior Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) As much as I love Codsworth, his weapons and somewhat fragile chassis while befitting a robot butler fail to perform in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. So the idea is to be capable of upgrading Codsworth. Making robot parts such as a cryo-thrower to replace his flamethrower, sharpening his buzzsaw, or a reinforced chassis. Maybe even having some missions for it once the ability to do so is found. Perhaps he could even have his optic sensors upgraded to highlight enemies. A stealth boy addon would make him an excellent recon drone for the sneakier type of player. Maybe an upgraded thruster might let him carry more things. That's about all I can think of at the moment. Hopefully someone can make this mod as I think it'd make plenty of those who think Codsworth is too weak to help reconsider using out favorite robot butler. :laugh: Edited November 28, 2015 by Anvillior

Anvillior Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 So I was thinking about Codsworth again, and I found that neat-o big Sentry bot up a the junkyard. I've got the hacking perk, so why couldn't I put Codsworth on a holotape, take him to the junkyard, and install him in the sentry bot? I get that the bot might be too big for that and he'd break being inside, but others like the assualtron should work. If it turns out customising dear Mister Codsworth can't work, then how about swapping his bodies for him?
SilverbladeTE Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 agreed, the Two main robotic followers, as combatants, absolutely SUCK, because unlike Humanoid followers, you cannot upgrade their gear, making them weak sauce :( at least Curie can be...ahem...improved, but not Codsworth

drwebs1 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Such a good idea. This could be huge if someone put in the time. Upgrade Robots through the terminals and reinforce them at maybe power armor stations? Recon bot is an awesome idea.
