What's wrong with tessource, and this forum ??

It seems this site has become really unstable, and i am not able to log in most of the time.

 

IPB WARNING [2] mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Too many connections (Line: 131 of /ips_kernel/class_db_mysql.php)

 

 

There appears to be an error with the database.

I keep getting this, on occasion.

I get this too. Maybe the Too many connections line? Too many visitors at one time killing the server?

No, that error is just techno-babble for the programmers who have worked on the project --- all the error codes in that series are for internal use only, and are pretty much nonsense outside of that.

 

The error message you should be reading is the one that talks about socks; then, you'll uncover the true nature of the problems: Luxar has not been attending to his duties enough, and the smelly socks are accumulating.

I get this all the time. Here is the error it returns:

 

SQL error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11)

SQL error code:

Date: Sunday 29th of April 2007 04:31:39 AM

 

It is really rather irritating. As far as I can tell it is a problem with that particular socket- thats the only one it ever mentions.
