spacelion1
I just posted an audio mod for fallout 4 and today I was greeted with a account infringement, but I have no idea why The radio station replacer had some copyright files in it but as far as I can tell so do many mods on this site. It seems really odd and perhaps I had the wrong track in it which is protected fiercely by a large company? It had moe shop babymetal and nujabes ...Just wondering but dont worry I wont bother posting any more content as I thought people might appreciate a nice mix but I was obviously wrong. Theres even a "senpai" level up sound replacer which has the intro track to moe shops album, which I had in my mod.... I also gave credits in the credit section of the upload to the respective owners. Thanks and goodbye I'll just download mods from now on and keep my copyright s*** to myself.thank god I can atleast have it myself without people telling me I cant use it in game. /rant Edited November 30, 2015 by spacelion1
ArekkusuStorm
The Nexus treats copyright seriously, unless you recreated the song/mesh/texture from scratch, it's going to get removed. And if it doesn't, it's because the Nexus staff isn't aware of the copyright infringement until someone reports it. And if you want an example of that last statement, this guy had about 20 mods worth of textures in the span of a few months. micalov
Its specifically states you need permission, credit does not equal permission. "Oh hey I credited bethesda is my pirate upload of fallout 4" is still piracy. No one is telling you what you can do on y our own computer, but when you upload it for others that is a different thing.

The rules here are clear and you agreed to them when you signed up as a member. As there are thousands upon thousands of mods on this site, the moderators do not always immediately see to remove mods until they are reported to review. A mods existence does not indicate approval. All of this is in the Terms of Service. It really doesn't matter if a mod is popular or not. If it breaks the rules of the site it is removed. If you see a mod that you believe breaks the rules then report it. I would suggest if you plan sticking around reading the Terms of Service first. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules Also discussing moderation in open forum is not permitted. If you have an issue you need to speak with the moderator that removed your mod and issued any moderation (this appears to by Micalov), The Community Manage or the site owner. Good luck. edit: Mic ninja'd me!
bben46
Lets just lock this topic. If you need to communicate with a moderator over reasons for a file being removed, please use the PM system provided by Nexus.
