Oblivion crashes when I exit The Sewers?

My version of Oblivion crashes on my laptop whenever I try to get into the main game via The Sewers. The tutorial worked fine and I could load games, etc. I just have problems when I try to get into The Sewers. Is this because it's not compatible with an Acer Laptop with a Windows 7 Starter version installed on it? Should I try installing it on a Windows XP Desktop? Would that work? How can I get around this aggravating error? It does it all the time and bothers me like hell!

It's not easy to say why without knowing what's going on in the background. So please state any OBSE plugins you have, any texture replacers (non-plugin type), and finally post your load list.

The symptom you describe is one of those seen with a system that is just a little too weak to play. As soon as the graphics ramps up (go outside for the first time) it crashes.

Morrowind is not listed, However if you can run Oblivion at all it should run well on your system.

 

Note: TES V - Skyrim is not listed yet as no one knows what the final requirements will be yet.

This is usually a result of an inadequate video solution. Specifically an integrated video chipset.

 

To know for sure, Please post a "Dxdiag" report:

 

Run (XP) or Start (Vista or 7), type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes), save the report to a desktop text file (default). Copy and paste the results (the whole thing) here in your thread.

 

The report is huge, so place it in spoiler tags.

the same problem happens to me when i leave "the sanctum" through "exit to sewers" manhole as well but i checked my only inadequate component is the video-card and the rest exceeds recommendation, so any hints would be very appreciated

i tried "coc" console command, but when i leave interior it just crashes again. the only place that worked was "ICMarketDistrictStonewallShields" only the main room works, private quarters and basement just crash the game.
