MasonicManx2 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Operating System: Windows 7 ProProcessor and Speed: i5-4200M, 2.50GHzRAM and Speed: 1x4GB, 2996.1 MHzGraphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 4600If i can I am ok with bad graphics and 30 Fps willing to mod it as well.
Fonger Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 the graphics chip is super questionable for this game - its what is gonna stop you, even though your memory doesn't meet the falsely announced minimum requirements
minc3meat Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I have a friend with a similar system. It should run, but no too well. You're going to have low frame-rates and minimal quality. Your processor is fine, as is your RAM. I would consider getting a graphics card though!

minc3meat Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 RAM is a separate entity from your graphics. Your current graphics processor is an embedded chip in your motherboard. There's not really anything you can do to increase performance from it. Embedded graphics processors will handle basic tasks like internet browsers, some less graphics-heavy games, etc etc but it's not meant for games that require a lot of rendering and so on. You can run the game, but like Phantom Parot said, it's kind of iffy. If you already own the game, give it a shot. There are mods to help improve performance on lower end machines which may prove useful. Or if you don't want to commit to buy, see if a friend who owns the game will share Steam libraries with you so you can test it before fully committing to the $60 purchase. Best of luck!
MasonicManx2 Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 What is the possible Frame rate on lowest vanilla settings?

It all depends on what the rest of your system is like, what game settings and/or tweaks or mods you use and how much of the environment or scripts the game has to load at one time. That said, you probably can hit 30fps... Will it stay that way? No. It'll drop frames like crazy but from what I've heard it should be playable.

Okay... CPU on the lower end of possible. Combined with the GPU, it will have too much work, because the CPU has do do calculations your GPU can´t handle any more. OS - no Problem thereRAM too low. Below 8GB you will have no fun with FO4. And your GPU takes away some of your systems RAM too.GPU itself: its not a gamer-gpu. Its a officeproduct with very limited 3D-features. If you really want to play FO4, you have to upgrade: RAM to at least 8GB (not very expensive) and a dedicated PCI-E GPU in the 100-150$ range. With this, even your CPU should handle it. You may not be able to play on ultra-specs, but medium should be fine.

But given, I don't use integrated graphics so the load isn't heavily (or really at all) shared between the CPU and GPU... so the difference was unnoticeable. All in all, it's really best to upgrade. Suitable graphics cards aren't very costly anymore, and should be able to run most games.
TeamBacon Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) My 750ti works great for Fallout 4, and it is a very cheap graphics card that does not require you to upgrade to a bigger power supply. As a result I think it is the most cost efficient option. Plays on ultra without any problems. Edited December 3, 2015 by TeamBacon
