THE Paladin Danse

So in my aventures in F4 I really enjoyed Paladin danse. Now some rather massive spoilers Danse of course is a synth, but as far as I can tell there was a real human Danse. The institute has only started child synths and there are records of a younger Danse. I firmly believe he was replaced only recently (before you met him, but after he came to the commonwealth). Now what I want is the real Danse to arrive after the Blind Betrayal quest and act as a new follower. I'd be fine with no changes to him, but just another Danse who is not a synth.

Good idea, though until we get GECK, this is not possible but I hope this becomes a thing, Paladin Danse was one of my favorite followers. *spoilers for BoS of ending*

But I'd do it like how we find Snyth Shaun, you have to go into the institute and blow it up but before you leave, like Shaun, Danse wants to come with you to the Prydwen.

Ummm...

It's highly unlikely that there was ever a human Paladin Danse. What probably happened was the Railroad mind-wiped Danse and got him to Rivet city, which then allowed him to join the Brotherhood. Which explains why the Brotherhood was able to find Danse: His DNA was on the listing for MISSING synths, not undercover synths.

Sorry, but the only child synth was Shaun, and synths don't actually age.

Though I am curious about records of a younger Danse being around. Where are those?

There was some points from the BoS that seemed to have said danse had grown up with them. not child per say, but young probably 20 something. This was why I was certain there had to be a real danse since as you said (and I said) child synths didn't exist yet, so danse must have existed. It'd probably be easier if I knew what age Danse was supposed to be. My best guess is 35 or so (line of work makes him look a bit older).

There is the thought that they call danse missing since he has gone native, but yeah since I didn't trust the institute I went to war with them rather fast, and losing danse only made me hate them more since I of course assumed he was replaced.

Either way I'd like the mod. I want a BoS follower with actual dialogue so making a modded scared older danse model get danse AI and maybe a new perk since it's the human danse and boom.

small suspicion i have is that THAT (What the OP outlined) IS the pretense for one of the future DLC's

also, NOWHERE In the game, not once (The reverse was actually hinted at MANY times) does anything give even the slightest bit of evidence pointing toward the fact synths do not age.

In fact, quite often, its stated that there is NO WAY to tell the difference between them physically. (IE for all matters, they are clones, actual living, breathing 'bio-matter' created beforehand in the lab - IE: lab grown organs, skin, etc, then using said parts, constructing the 'artificial human') - Otherwise, how would they have 'DNA' ?

hmm correction, apparently the child synth does not age(or rather, no age has shown as of 'current' in game) and other synths DO age but extremely slowly, (Gen 3's) -assuming its some of the same tech used to keep Kellogg from aging.

correction 2: Apparently the above was in reference to the gen 1 and 2 synths, and Shawn, who isn't 'built' like the gen 3's were (Idk if he is biological or mechanical, its never shown afaik)

When he lived in rivet he was a child, met cutler as a child, he grew up and they joined the brotherhood together. Thus he was a child, did age and was at some point a real human being. (not necessarily because he aged, but because shawn is the first working child synth) He was replaced after meeting cutler and therefore probably after they were in the brotherhood and in different units. I see this post is almost out of time :) but I have another option/solution/request or something. Sorry, I don't speak (and write) English well, but I'll try my best.

So, we knew that Danse is a synth and we got this information from the Institute by hacking their main database. But what if that information is false? I mean, the Intstitute - and of course- Shaun knew/guessed that we will choose the BOS instead of the Institute, and because of his divination, he created this data about Danse's DNA to dissarange the BOS' lines? Paladin Danse is a major member of the BOS and if his identity is questioned, that can cause a big confusion inside the BOS's unit/system. If a main member can be a synth, anybody can be a synth, too. And they can be a serious threat, no one can be trusted. After completing the Blind Betrayal there can be a new quest, where we can get a holotape (f.e. from Dr Li or a runaway Institute scientist) ,made by Shaun himself. In this recording, he will admit his feelings about the past, his family, the Institute and everything, including the false information about Danse. It can be a confession. After the player find out the truth, he/she tells it to Elder Maxson. And there can be two ways from that point: if Paladin Danse is still alive, he can return to the Brotherhood (and maybe he can be the new Edler). If he is dead, the BOS can organize a worthy funeral for him. +1 Elder Maxson resign from the leadership position and the Sole Survivor can be the new Elder of the BOS.

THE END :)
