lvhoang
My drinking buddy robot is pos tree d just in front of the hotel in Goodneighbor... waiting for me to sell him to the guy in the hotel. But I don't want to do that, and I can't talk to him (dialog menu doesn't appear) even if I tell the guy in the hotel I'm not selling him and I'm keeping him. Is that a bug? Looks like I can't tell him to go to Sanctuary Hills :(

lvhoang
Oops! Do you know how I can reset the quest via console?
Vagrant0
Reload from an earlier save? Or sell and forget about it.
Pthalo
Hmm, there was a reset-quest console command in FO3 but I don't recall what it was. Even if I did, you'd need the questID for your drinking buddy robot in order to get it to work. It's a long shot, but you save and try "Resurrect" and see if the actor-replacement-ness of this function re-jigs the robot into giving you it's initial dialogue again. Probably not, but I've seen the resurrect function do some funny crap to npc companions mid-quest in other Beth games. (Resurrect 1 will instead restore the current instance of the npc to an alive state, without resetting inventory or anything else, far as I know. Resurrect with no number modifiers seems to make an entirely fresh replacement instance from whatever the baseID is.)
lvhoang
Thanks guys. I found the solution. Go console mode, PRID on the robot then MOVETO PLAYER when you re in a settlementHe should be next to you now, use workshop mode and send him to any settlement :D He is now unlocked and behaves normally
