How to transfer plugins...

Alright, I am not sure if this is in the right place or not, also I am not sure if it is possible (thats why Im asking!).

Ok, the PC in my house, that has the internet is my parents PC. It doesn't have morrowind and wouldn't be able to run it anyway. So my dillema (sp?) is plugins are too big to fit on floppys, to transfer to my PC. Is there anything I might be able to do to transfer them. My PC doesn't have the internet... Also like maybe ONCE in a WHILE I can download all the things I want on my PC and switch my parents hard drive into my PC, and transfer it all to my hardrive, but not often at all....

Any help would be great!

Download the file splitter from THIS SITE (scroll down about 2/3 of the page). It'll split files into pieces of a chosen size (1mb or whatever), then you just run the program it creates along with the parts to recreate it. As long as you've got enough disks to add up to the total size of the file, that'll work.

Sorry to hijack the thread Xionith, but i have a valid question.

Does anyone own a USB key? You know, the small little things abou the size of your little finger (unless you have really big hands... :shifty: ) that you can i transfer 100-200MB of stuff in a second? nightspore mentioned it, and i figured they must be the same thing. I was going to buy one of Ebuyer (go here now for cheap, excellent quality PC products... sorry, plug over  ) soon, and i wanted some people's opinions on them.

Lots of solutions... But Peregrines seems to be the "least expensive"... It worked to! Thnx A ton All you guys! Now I have entered the plugin world... :D

True, the file splitter is the least expensive (free) solution, but it can get sort of unwieldy when downloading really huge mods, and you have to have 25 or 30 floppies.

and inre the USB key loveme4whoiam mentioned, I've never heard of them. I was talking about an actual drive that Iomega manufactures (the 100 mB versions are about US$50-60; no idea about how much they cost in Europe) that connect via the USB port

Either solution would work, the "keychain" USB drive would VERY cool (LOTS of people are making them now (with capacities as large as 1Gig!)) as would an external Zip Drive. I have one at home (external 250Mb Zip) and use it almost exclusively for transfering plug-in files that download while I'm at work; but gawd it's handy for a LOT of things. 250Mb is a lot of room, they can use the smaller 100Mb disks and Zip Disks are a lot "tougher" than CD's (which is important for me).
