i also got the update i found these 2 simple solutions work for me...

First option : Like many posted before with the default launcher and nmm (click the launcher, renable the mod in nmm, click play on the launcher).

Second option : Rename the originale launcher to anything you want (like Fallout4Launcherori.exe) and rename the fallout4.exe to Fallout4Launcher.exe. Since it does not go trough the launcher nothing get disabled. I use this method since i got the game and did not get any trouble with the game ( i still use nmm to install my mod and manage them).

Not a fan of renaming .exe-files. Had enough games where this really went down the gutter when i renamed it. Better solution is still installing F4SE and launching the game through it. No launcher, no problem.

Haven't tried this yet (too damn sick to play without getting motion sick right now), but I'm really happy to see that the modding community is on top of stuff like this. Installed F4SE, and made a backup of my save, so hopefully things will run smoothly when I do get back on.

I am super grateful you guys exist. I'm pretty new to PC Gaming/Modding in general, so this thread has been a lifesaver.

The F4SE solution worked for me just fine, although now the game crashes any time I die. Never happened before the update. Google searching didn't really turn up much help... :\

This is exactly what I've been trying to get across in my posts in this thread. It's an unforeseen result of using mods with the new update.

The mods were made with a different version of the game and we don't know what was even changed in the patch. If your lucky the crashes will be the worst of your troubles but don't be surprised if at some point your saves all get corrupted.

Another important thing to think about is if the mods your using were made with TESnip or FO4edit. Snip is know to produce .esp's that can cause save game issues.

Anyway here is a temporary fix, go to http://f4se.silverlock.org/ and download the Fallout 4 beta 1.2.37 file

Copy all files into ur FO4 (steam-steam app-common-Fallout 4) now open NMM and go to Settings-Fallout 4 under Custom Launcher thers a field called Command, type in f4se_loader and save. Now enable all ESP´ S as the update disables them, go to Top left Corner on the NMM and change the Launch Fallout 4 to Launch Custom Launcher, should work.

Long explenation for newcommers.

This! This is better than the original suggestion of starting the game, opening mod manager and enabling the ESPs every time!

You can simply start the game from NMM custom launch or place a shortcut to the F4 SE executable on your desktop. Thanks Dimos!

no trouble here. The game updated (put back a new launcher exe and a new fallout4.exe... i prefer this method because i am not using an unknown scrip to launch my game but everyone can use the method of choice if it work for them.
