davcoll
Hello. When I try to launch Fallout 3 using FOSE (with 4GB patch) my game crashes. I manage my mods with FOMM, and my load order can be seen below, there's 1 mod which doesn't use FOMM and that is NMC's Large Pack. Other info: OS: Windows 10 64-bit, game crashes shortly after intro video with fallout.exe has stopped working or something like that, custom fallout INIs used by the 4GB patch are in place, with the multi core fixes applied (bUseThreadedAI=1 iNumHWThreads=2). Keep in mind I'm new to this type of stuff, so there might be some things out of place. I did the best I could with what I know, so I just want to correct anything that's placed wrongly. Also I apologize if this is the wrong place to post stuff like this, this is my first Nexus Forums post. M48A5
Please see the following: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1465357-installing-fallout-3-with-windows-78-and-xp/ http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/652876-fallout-3-modding-and-you/ Specifications for your CPU and GPU, please. The Mart's Mutant Mod is the wrong version to be using with Blackened, or you did not read the instructions. The Plugins for FWE are in the wrong order, go back to the mod page and read the load order template that is provided on the description page and make the adjustments necessary for the vanilla game and the mod. Use only one Optional Restore Tracers. DarNifiedUIF3.esp should load higher in your load order. Did you ensure that the changes to the fonts was made? If you have the game installed in "Program Files", FOSE will not work and the game will crash on loading. The 4GB adjustments need to be done to Fallout3.exe, not FOSE. davcoll
Oh, BTW, I fixed the issue. It turns out that I installed Darnified incorrectly and it essentially stopped my game from working correctly. I have since then reinstalled my game and everything, it works quite good now. Here's the new load order, tell me if I should change it at all: Fallout3.esmAnchorage.esmThePitt.esmBrokenSteel.esmPointLookout.esmZeta.esmUnofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esmCRAFT.esmCALIBR.esmFO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmEVE.esmProject Beauty.esmFO3 Wanderers Edition - Alternate Travel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Main File.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC The Pitt.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Broken Steel.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Point Lookout.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Mothership Zeta.espFO3 Wanderers Edition - Optional Restore Tracers.espF3ProjectRealityMkI.espDarNifiedUIF3.espCASM.espGNR Enhanced.espProject Beauty- Broken Steel.espProject Beauty- Point Lookout.espMart's Mutant Mod.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.espMart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.espBlackened FWE + MMM + EVE + Project Beauty.espMerged Patch.esp Total active plugins: 36Total plugins: 40 If you or anyone else has any performances mods that they could suggest, I'd really appreciate it. M48A5
You are either not reading the Blackened page, you are reading it but don't understand the requirements for the MMM patch, you aren't reading the Paradox Ignition page or you don't understand the instructions. Blackened will only work with the Paradox Ignition version of Mart's Mutant Mod. This means you have to download and install the Paradox Ignition merged Mart's Mutant Mod. Just one thing though: you said that the 4GB patch didn't need to be applied to FOSE, but in the readme for the patch it states that you could also patch FOSE if you have it. Is that even needed? Because that's the only thing on your list which I can't put an invisible green check next to. As I still have it patched.

The one I use changes the Fallout3.exe so that it will address more than 2GB of RAM.
