alright here you say your favourite race and why you think they'll conquer the universe

Mine is The tyranids, probably becuase i think they look cool and i just think they are really awsome (sigorny weaver eat your heart out ;D)

I think they'll conquer the universe because they are experts in close combat, all they have to do is get close and you've loss, and they have some extreamly bowerful long ranged weapons too. think tanks will bring them down? nope, they have huge creature called carnifex's that have heavily armored body's and can easily take down tanks, think titans will take them down? nope they have huge creatures the size and bigger then titans so they can cobat those too. think there just like any other army? wrong, theres an endless amount. destroy one fleet and another will take it's place they'll keep on coming and coming until they have eaten and absorbed every living thing in the universe including the biomass in planets, leaving them compleatly baron and unhabitable.

They sound evil but aren't, they eat all living things becaue they need to to survive,its food, they'll die if they don't.

The Necrons are evil tho', they want to kill every living thing in the universe because they hate life.

 

 

 

so, whats YOUR favourite, why will they conquer the universe?

Gotta be the Space marines. I'm talking from a modelling and painting perspective. They are easy to paint, and easy to convert with extra Gubbinz from my box of Bitz. Fun to play with as well. The only problem is that they can only be fielded in small armies, which is quite daunting when there is a Green Tide (lots of Orks) or a whole mountain of Tyranids. I must admit, Tyranids look good, but they look like a *censored* to paint. Anyways, the Legions Astartes will at the very least conquer the galaxy (after all, the universe is too big to conquer (coz it's infinite)), as they have the blessing of the Emperor, and power armour that gives them a +3 save.

I was an Eldar person when I was younger. Technologically and morally superior with good foresight? Yup..thats my style ;D

I do like the Eldar's style, but they always seem too fragile to rally survive a heavy beating. They do, however, have great guns (especially prism cannons)

To Paul Emil: yeah tyranids are really hard to paint, but hey an experianced man or woman can defeat an army of space marines with the dark eldar, Surprised? been going through some of the White Dwarf mags and this one guy was an expert at dark eldar, knew tactics that would almost guarantee a victory against space marines, and other troobs with high armour saves, after all, most of the models with high armour cant move as fast as dark eldar he used really complicated hit and run tactics etc that is great against high armour. he said there are only a few things that dark eldar aren't good at " eldar, because, well hey dark eldar and eldar are quite simmilar, another race (can't remember which) and the tyranids, which he said he almost always loses too, there as fast as the DE and pack a harder punch.

AND tyranids have a new advantage, with a rule they can bring troops back too life, (with out help from any other monster, no medics or nothin!) so they can keep coming, and comon, book wise, story wise, the tyranids will eventually bring down the imperium, the ultramarines only just defeated hive fleet behemoth in the battle of macragge, the tyranids even wiped out the 2 fortresses at he polar caps at macragge and during the process wiped out the ultramarines veteran 1st company, wiped out! the entire veteran 1st company!

The Imperium took huge losses from hive fleet kraken, and hive fleet leviathan has still not been wiped out!

i think, AND there a still splinter fleets roaming the iperium, destroying outposts and poorly defended worlds, and the more biomass they consume the more powerfull are.

But Hey the tyranids aint evil! they are just doing what it takes too survive.

 

 

 

But there is only 1 thing i absalutly HATE about gamesworkshop, yep you guessed it, the prices.

Their out ragous! and it probably only costs them like 50c to produce one model. i think they justify

the prices with things like how powerfull the units are, that doesnt justify it, an army wont over power because someone bought more models cos if they were cheaper, every one would have huge overpowering armies, so they wouldnt overpower! every one would just have huge awsome amrmies.

Therein lies the problem. I haven't bought any White Dwarf mags or miniatures for years, because of, as you said, the outrageous prices. I dabble a bit with my existing army (dusty 3rd edition), but I am planning on buying lots of nice new 4th edition stuff. Starting with a 4th edition rulebook...
