DayDay22
Yeah i'm new to modding and I want to know how to open those dds files because I have photoshop elements 2.0 and that doesen't work. Are there any mods for photoshop elements 2 dds files out there?
21603
You'll need Nvidia's Photoshop plugin which you can get here.
Sypron
Dunno, but get DDS Convertor. It just converts them over to jpeg/bmp/whatever. Be sure to change them back to .dds when you are done.

Why convert them, you can just edit them in Photoshop as the .dds and then save with another filename if your altering something.
Guest
Just to back that last comment up, I have Photoshop Elements and I use the DDS plugins without any problems. I simply load up the dds, edit it, then save the changes. Or of course create a brand new dds. Photoshop Elements really is absolutely brilliant. It has 90% of the features of the full version, works perfectly with all the most useful plugins, and costs about £600 less (not sure what the US conversion is). Anyway enough rambling... Sypron
The reason I mentioned DDS converter is because I use an inferior bitmap program that does not support DDS, and I did not know Photoshop could. My mistake.
DayDay22
Hmmm, it just simply doesen't let me open them up. :glare:
TheTerminator2004
Hmmm, it just simply doesen't let me open them up. :glare: Well, if it doesn't work with Photoshop, a good alternative would be Gimp. It's free, and does almost everything Photoshop does. Or, if you can't be bothered learning how to use it, I recommend Gimpshop, which is a modification of Gimp which changes the interface to be the same as photoshops. Then you just download the dds plugin, from here, and away you go!
SickleYield
I can heartily recommend GIMP. I've never used Photoshop and I don't want to. ;)
