Mod & Hour Count - How Many Mods Are You Running? & How Many Hours Do You Have On Your Main Save?

Every now and again I'll run across folks postin how many mods they have running, usually in a technical support type inquiry, like a detailed edit or a mod itself suggesting "don't use this if you have a lot mods running" ...then you'll see a few folks post questions while mentioning how many mods their running. After all these years, I've noticed through examples like this that 80-100 is about midrange with about 120-160 being the highest I've ever really noticed anyone mention.

So this got me thinking... 'how man mods am I running?' I never really bothered to count of the years, I knew I was over 100 but I wasn't expecting...

240

...haha yeah, all this time on the Nexus got away from me. The funny thing is, I'm pretty stable although it might be worth mentioning I dont use SKSE or ENB's. I Just moved my entire game, save, mods and all over to a new CPU not a month ago, ...kinda surprised how smooth that all went to be honest.

Hour wise, I'm at 750 with my first and original character... that's probably nothin compared to some of you guys. But anybody here like myself could take at least half that number or more and add it to the total to make up for all the time spent on here browsing, downloading and creating mods, not to mention all the trouble shooting.

So how bout it? Where are you guys at?

I normally have around 100-150 active mods (not plugins) and i also have a really bad case of new game syndrome lol.

I have over 1000 total hours of play time in skyrim and thats not including the many many many many hours ive spent learning how to mod and redoing my mod setups etc etc.

I wouldnt be surprised if ive spent more time modding than playing the game.

It says that I have a total of 1708 hours. But the highest I've gotten is level 53 and killed the main dragon and befriended a couple of others. Many quests either not started or finished.

The thing is, I mostly enjoy (thus far) the early stages of the game: until about level 12 or so. So have many re-starts. Messing with and testing house mods is also responsible for doing re-starts.

I also spent a lot of those hours testing house mods and messing with my own.

Few mods and even fewer at the same time. Amazing Follower Tweaks, the sandboxy thing so followers go up stairs, perhaps my own mods. So only 3 to maybe 6 mods at a time. However, I read not too long ago that someone opined that a well-modded Skyrim is still the best game out there.

Perhaps I should try more mods. Been thinking about Frostfall or something similar.

Currently 196 active mod folder entries in MO with SKSE & FNIS direct installed. However, I don't merge the various optional files that come from one mod. So the actual mod count is lower.

ESP/ESM count including base & DLC: 123

Total hours spent in game: 2197

Max hours spent on one character: No idea, I don't keep the saves like that. When done for good, I scrap 'em.

Who knows how many in the CK, xEdit or other modding tools.

Well I have 30 released mods under my belt so there are a lot of hours that went into testing and tweaking. Also I do a lot of restarts when mods update instead of trying to continue with the same save. Been burned one too many times continuing with updated mods. I'd rather start over to be safe than have issues down the road and end up starting over anyway. Not to mention that one game, I played down one side of a questline to unlock the Steam achievements then backtracked before starting it and went down the other side for the Steam achievements. That means I did the Stormcloaks, backtracked and did Imperials. Went through the Dark Brotherhood, backtracked and wiped them out. Did the vampire side of Dawngaurd, backtracked and did the Dawnguard side.

146 Active Mods, 610 hours on record total, and probably around ~30 hours at most on any one particular character. Habitual "better start over" player. I've finished the main quest before, but haven't done any DLC (official or otherwise), and have a tendency of destroying my saves with script-heavy mod abuse.
