nmlevesque
Definitely not possible until Bethesda releases those modding tools e'rybody be talkin' 'bout.Since domesticated cats and dogs can be found throughout the commonwealth, I thought it would be interesting if you could get your hands on some FEV (SORT OF SPOILER: most likely at Virgil's old lab in the Institute), and use it to create a new companion. Probably something cougar like for the cat since anything larger would be a stretch, even for (a random strain of) FEV. Obviously it would be stronger and more agile than dogmeat, while offering the play the opportunity to play with it as they would a pet cat. So the experience of owning such beasts as pets is key to the value of the mod. Anyway, the canine companion would have to be quite larger than any wild type (sort of surprised there haven't been any giant dogs yet), so more on the order of a large bear. As such it could work as a player mount: as a ride to outpace your stride, whose savage maws you guide, whilest taking difficult aim to fire upon or lance an enemy astride. Giggity. Athanasa
I just found the dead housecats in Virgil's lab. It would be interesting to see what comes of that - panther like creatures with a stealth-boy type ability?
Moraelin
Well, given that the mutated hounds in the game are exactly that, dogs plus FEV, I'm guessing at least the dog part shouldn't be too hard. For cats, well, someone would probably have to make the mesh.
