Ikillyou1911
I have no idea how this happened, but when I started fallout4 today ALL of my mods were gone. I opened the mod manager and saw that all the mods were installed, so then I checked the game folder. When I checked, again all the proper mod files were there. So I just checked all the other folders associated with the mods I've installed and it seems everything was already in order. All the of ".ini" files had their proper edits and were NOT set to "Read Only"... what's so perplexing is I hadn't done ANYTHING to the files before this had happened, and I don't believe anything had updated either... so if anyone has an idea of what might've happened I would GREATLY appreciate the advice. TakaraPRG
I've had something similar happen a few times. Here is a question and don't be insulted if it sounds silly. It look slike you checked plenty of things. A) do you have NMM? B) Did you go into the plugins tab and see if all the mods have a checkmark in the box Every once and awhile it seems to deactivate all of the mods for me. They are all still installed in the Mods tab but they get turned off on the plugins tab.
Moraelin
Personally I just add the mods manually to plugins.ini (in AppData\Local\Fallout4; it's just a plain text file) and set the file to readonly. Then the game can't override that. Been sailing smoothly even through the update that disabled everything. Couldn't do that to me, because the file was read-only. Won't mess resolution with fullscreen and won't disable mods if they readonly.
YellowScarf
Go into NMM and toggle each Plugin off and on, that's what did it for me just now. Edited December 26, 2015 by YellowScarf
Justy311
Even with the newest version of NMM I will sometimes encounter a glitch where it doesn't reflag the plugins files as read only. A way I've found to avoid this is that anytime I do ANYTHING inside NMM for Fallout 4, I always make sure to launch the game from NMM. This seems to help make sure that the read only flag is put back on correctly. Just closing NMM and launching the game through Steam has about a 25% chance to disable all mods, in my experience so far.
