  1. Is there a reason you have SpringCleaningCompatabilityPatch.esp? I don't see SpringCleaning in your mod list.
  2. I have one or two weapon skins, but this happens with all weapons even ones that are not retextured and I don't have any 'replace all' type textures for them. It's really strange. When I'm facing that specific direction there is a light showing. It's only in first person though, if I swap to third person I'm shadowed correctly, even if I hold shift and manually look around. Here you can see me in the same exact position in first and third person. There is the light shining through the darkness and onto my scope/silencer in first person but the shadows are full in third person. Sometimes it's a lot worse and the light is quite bright. This even happens indoors, which is really strange.
  3. A bit of a necro here, but this is pretty much the only thread/topic I find on Google. At this point a 'rollback' isn't much of an option, but I'm getting the same issue. There is a light on my character's weapon, the muzzle and the scope to be exact, when I'm facing southwest-ish. Doesn't matter if I'm inside a building, covered by shadows, the shadows just seem to vanish and there is a glow there exactly like the OP's video only with the scope getting light as well.
  4. Spoilers obviously (If the game can be spoiled at this point.) Lore Wise - If I recall correctly during Kellog's memories, you find out that The Institute ordered him to leave all the other cryopods turned off, other than your own. It's why there was a 'failure' and all the other people in the vault died. The Institute basically murdered them all, but manually turned yours back on, which Father later turns off to unfreeze you. Now, it's not really clear if they refreeze your spouse or not. So, it could potentially work. Though, I believe they were shot in the head. So, I'm not sure how much work could be done.... Though it does open up a possibility. What if your spouse was shot in the head, and frozen before dying. After all, people do survive some times, and if they were frozen it could help. But, what if the wound actually caused them to have amnesia, and the follower mod you're requesting actually has quest lines and dialogue as you raise affinity where they start to remember you, and eventually become your 'lover' again. Could be an interesting follower mod, and without the Synth angle and those weird grenades.
  5. I've been looking for a retexture for the handmade rifle added in Nuka World. There is one on the Nexus, however, it also replaces the gang's paint jobs. I'd rather not have it replace those, just the default (non-painted) version. The way I see it, the paint jobs are kind of important for each gang, while the default wood isn't that big of a deal. If anyone can help me out, i'd appreciate it. I thought that I could just download the one on here and delete the paint textures, but the way this one is made it's a single texture that just replaces everything. So, no go there.
  6. So, I picked the game up again about a week ago and started playing with no mods active. I started noticing some strange things happening. Some meshes would be invisible until I was right up on them, some textures would be missing (rainbow effect) until I was right up on them. The thing was, it seemed random. One save game it'd be a cargo container and the next it'd be a TV and the container would be fine. So, I did a fresh install, that includes manually deleting the folder in My Games and Common after using the steam 'delete local files that leaves a bunch of things behind'. Problem was still there. I've gotten mods now, including the vivid fallout rocks, trees, landscapes, etc. The problem isn't quite as common anymore but it's still there (usually on metal objects now) and I honestly have no clue how to fix it. This isn't something that was happening before I stopped playing, and it's the same system I was on before I stopped playing. Any ideas? Is it just something the broke with their 'fixes' or something? It's really strange in that it's random and only starts after playing for a while... and if I save and exit the game it fixes for a bit and switches to a new texture.
  7. Freezing legendary mod shows up as Energy Damage instead of Cryo damage. It's a little thing, really, but I can't seem to find the mod, or the effect it uses to alter it myself. So, is there an obscure mod out there somewhere I'm missing that has already done it? Or does anyone know how to do it/where to find the value so I can just change it myself?
  8. Gotcha. Well, guess I'll grab myself the texture in the mean time them. Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it.
  9. So, I'm trying to figure out if I want to DL a texture replacement for the Handmade rifle. I figured, I'll just console myself in the gun... then the paint mod, head to a work bench and see what the originals all look like for myself. Only problem is, I can't add the paint to the weapon at the workbench. There isn't an option for it. I've tried googling, and everything I get is stupid crap talking about how good the weapon is, or where you find the unique versions of it. Nothing that I want... So, I figured I'd ask here. I know it's kind of a noob question, and all that. It really wasn't supposed to be this big of a deal, but now I'm actually curious as to how you paint them. Is there a special bench only in Nuka World or something?
  10. I've had a similar problem pretty much since install. Though in my situation it comes from mostly Ghouls, and really only Ghouls as far as I can tell. Raiders, Super Mutants, etc all die properly but for some reason Ghouls have this strange 'solid' blood line that comes out and sticks to the limbs. You can even pick up the limbs and carry them to move the blood line around. I've not found a fix for this... I'd imagine it has to do with the ghoul meshes/blood meshes. Maybe Enhanced Blood Textures will help, but my system is running slow enough with normal blood, so I haven't tried it.
  11. Even with the newest version of NMM I will sometimes encounter a glitch where it doesn't reflag the plugins files as read only. A way I've found to avoid this is that anytime I do ANYTHING inside NMM for Fallout 4, I always make sure to launch the game from NMM. This seems to help make sure that the read only flag is put back on correctly. Just closing NMM and launching the game through Steam has about a 25% chance to disable all mods, in my experience so far.
  12. Most likely it's the problem with CBBE, which has been addressed and the fix has been posted already. It has to do with people not unchecking certain clothing with the outfit slider and such, in which case you need to delete the faulty ones until a more permanent fix is made.
  13. Okay, so my game was having some issues. Like, my AMD settings were not registering it as being installed even though it was. So, I uninstalled it, cleared out all the folders and reinstalled it. It auto detected my settings, set me to ultra. I went in to set some of my things back to normal and noticed I was capped at 30 frames per second, not 60. I figured okay, just a glitch or something. I finished setting up my colors and such and exited. Used my AMD optimization feature and got it set to optimal performance... go back in and I'm still capped at 30 frames. So, I open up my Prefs.ini and turn off the presentinterval... naturally this the Vsync and my frames jump up to 500+. I turn back on presentinterval to see if it'll reset it and it does, but back to 30 frames. Now, I know that I can turn off presentinterval and use riva to set the frame cap. I've tried it several times and I get screen tearing still. I've looked, but I can't seem to figure out how to do V-sync through AMD with the new way, so yeah. I've been trying to just use the in game feature but being capped at 30 FPS is a pain, and to make matters worse for some reason I get stuttering in interiors. Exteriors runs just fine at 30 FPS all the time... inside I drop to 22 ish in some areas, or during dialogue. This is kind of the opposite of what I had before, where exterior would drop to 30ish frames instead of 60 in high rendering zones while interiors were always smooth 60... so I'm confused on that too.
  14. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not.. but I play with the 'Shadowed' mod on my armor and at least on the Heavy Leather version, when I bash, or drink from a stream, swing a melee weapon... or anything where you can see my right arm... the texture is still the default brown instead of the black from the armor mod. I'm not sure why Bethesda did it this way, or if it was just a missed texture or something but if it's possible to fix, that'd be great. It may even do this with the combat/metal/synth armors too. I haven't tested those.
  15. Armor; I'd have to say the 10% VATS reduction or the Freefall mod. Weapon; Explosive ammo. The Spray n Pray is a sexy beast, but finding it on other weapons is nice too.
  16. I know that they freed up the numpad for people who play the game left handed and what not, but I'd really like my numpad back to my favorites. Is there anyway for me to do this without a third party software? I checked the controls and it's not there. Might be a stupid thing to ask, but might as well ask it and see.
  17. There are three things I can think of that'd cause this. 1. Night Person Perk's Night Vision while sneaking. 2. Chameleon legendary armor. Each time the stealth field activates it shows a glow then goes away. There is a mod to fix this, don't recall the name off the top of my head though. 3. Stealth boy effect from Power Armor. Pretty much the same thing as the Chameleon effect, since they're the same exact thing. Not sure if the mentioned mod removes it too or not.
  18. Okay... So, after testing and messing with things quite a bit, I managed to figure out how to get them to get out of the loop. Apparently extra food, water, and beds are kind of pointless. Have enough for your people. No need to go over. Then... make everyone else in the settlement a level 3 Clinic vendor. Apparently our settlers are all a bunch of chem addicts. I ended up with 24 settlers, 24 food, 60 water (just because I didn't see a reason to take out the purifiers), 4 Farmers, 1 Supply Line, 1 worthless chem head(Mamma Murphy), and the rest were in clinics. I even had to take people out of their original shops and put them into clinics. Apparently clinics are worth more than any other shop there is and any kind of resource. So there you go... turn your settlement into a doctor's village.
  19. I've wanted this too... partly so that if I wanted to play an OP out of the vault character I could set my perks per level to 0 and not have to worry about accumulating perks that I'll never spend, or on the alternative playing with 2-3 perks per level instead of just 1. I get that there is no level limit and all that, but level 300ish for all perks seems like a bit much (and that's assuming it doesn't glitch and only let you spend 255 perk points). I've scanned the 'Game Settings' in FO4edit looking for a 'Perksperlevel' type heading, unfortunately I've come up empty. This may be one of those things that have to wait until the GECK or an updated FO4Edit come out.
  20. You should be able to open the console, click on Cait, get her Ref ID and do Showlooksmenu refid 1 or something like that and alter the way she looks yourself. I haven't tested it out, but based on the way it's worded on the wiki and such... as long as it's a human you should be able to make them look how you want. Sounds... well.. you're on your own. XD
  21. Actually, the number pad isn't disabled. The latest beta just made them independently re-mappable. Just remap you numbers from the number bar over to the pad and then you can use the bar for other stuff Oooh. Well that'll be great then. I might have to repatch and test it out. That was my only real complaint, other than the mod manager being all wonky and needing to stay read only again.
  22. Yeah. I wouldn't care... but I'm trying to get the achievement. Logically I should have everything high enough that it climbs to the 100 point, but it just keeps looping. I've got plenty of other 'small' settlements that are around and stay around 80... Sanctuary is what I've built up to go for the Benevolent Leader achievement and it's driving me crazy.
  23. It also disables the hidden mod menu on the launcher.... and in my game it disables the number pad... etc. I reverted back to the official patch and said to hell with the beta for now.
  24. I'm not sure if that will be done without the CK, but in the meantime you could always open the console, click on your companion, and type additem x y where x = the ID of the ammo type and y = the number up to 999999 or so. Close enough to infinite. XD
  25. I'd like to see a version of Bloody Mess that doesn't include the explosion. I'd prefer to see it turned into a dismemberment only type thing, where arms, legs, etc that are being targeted have a higher chance to become a mess (Like when head shots explode the head rather than knocking it off. etc), but I'd settle for a 'no mess' at all option. Now, I understand this would make the last perk 'When an enemy exploded there is a chance others will explode too' rather obsolete. In which case, maybe instead of having it do that just have it up the damage by another 5% So, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%.
