Rabbit1251
How are you trying to download them? I recommend using the Nexus Mod Manager version 60 or better: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/modmanager/? Rabbit
mwhenry16
Step one: Educate yourself. Go to the tutorial section of the Nexus Fallout 4, and peruse what might be applicable to your level of experience. Go to Youtube and check out tutorial and how to use videos, particularly those from very good authors such as Gamerpoets. This forum itself has a great deal of useful information. As our furry 51 said, start with usung NMM. Use LOOT. As an aside, when you say "just got a new computer", it's capabilities will affect how many or what kind of mods you can or should run. Educate yourself on that also. Edited December 27, 2015 by mwhenry16
Ginlea64
Not trying to offend here, but, I actually did all these things & could not for the life of me get any of it to work. So, I have been using bethnet for modded play, even though there are mods here on NEXUS that I would really benefit from just because they are critical for particular mods that can be found on bethnet, but the mods that are necessary for better compatibility are not available on bethnet. I am honestly frustrated at not being able to use NEXUS and or VORTEX for this reason alone. I have also tried to find help with this problem of mine and there are crickets. Sometimes exhaustive research still get's nothing accomplished, at which point we are left with either starting from scratch or just finding a different avenue, or just giving up altogether. I wish I were more computer savvy, but in this life, some things just refuse to make sense to me, like algebra. I suspect there is a critical step that has been left out of tutorials which renders them useless.

I wouldn't recommend using Mod organizer 2 because it doesn't load mods correctly if there are too many of them.If it is still hard for you to read insallation instructions, contact me in discord: pastreloks(Aromabish)#0465 Edited September 3, 2021 by pastreloks
romalight
Hello. Always download the mods, manual and keep them to a folder at the hard disk, because 1 someday you decide to delete them from the data folder and you need to know, what are the files are, and 2 maybe someday, a mod you really like, is delete, so you never going to find it again. Always use Nexus mod manager, the community edition. i don't know about Vortex, but i think, reading some posts from here, cause many problems. Have all your mods to a folder, helps you also, if you want to do a clean new install of the game, someday at the future. i think also helps, if anyone make a text file, have the name of the mods, keep at the hard disk, and write what every mod, do. That's all. Thanks.
