game was running fine until now

have over 100 hours into this now getting ctd at random i'll be waling around a settlement and ctd. i'll just be standing there listening to a holo-tape ctd. i've checked all my mods they are all compatible what the hell is causing this?!

1. Busty is no longer needed, when you use CBBE, but if CBBE overwrites, there should be no harm.

2. Maybe there is a problem with CBBE. For example: if you want to enter Vault 81, with CBBE installed it crashes. Why? Because there is a bug in the Vault-Tec-Sci-Lab-Coat mesh.

And if there is one glitch, there may be even more. So, you are idling around, and a npc walks by with a buggy cloth-mesh, aaaand crash. Maybe its one of your provisioners from another settlement, entering the cell, you are standing.

Bethesda-games modding can be a hell of a trick. It can seem all good, and then, sudden death.

I can confirm that to my greatest regret CBBE Body is infact the culprit in causing CTDS upon entering Vault 81 and 111. I stumbled across this thread, as I wanted to test out some new female body presets with a brandnew game, and crashed during the entrance scene in the beginning. After I read this, I loaded an old playthrough savegame and tryd to enter vault 81, which resulted in a crash.

 

Then I uninstalled CBBE, and the crashes where gone.

 

Update: Caliente already updated the mod, the culprit labcoats where removed, entering the vaults does not crash the game anymore.

no one was wearing labcoats etc when it ctd for me though? i haven't even been near the vaults it was in settlements and inside a building fighting super mutants. the only clothing my settlers had in sets were the harness only by jungle japes (I have all females wear these)and any other normal clothing settlers wear in vanilla.

 

and i use busty as well so i don't have to edit every clothing item it auto updates them.

 

i'll run some test runs without busty and cbbe. it's gonna suck if it is CBBE i won't be able to use it... :confused:

Just update CBBE, I dont know exactly how the game handles files, but if a buged file is loaded it crashes, no matter if you or someone else in the vicinity is wearing it. Like I said it worked for me.

i'm using latest cbbe already. i'm running some test tonight but i'm finding it hard to keep playing this game since i have pretty much done everything in it that there is to do..
