Vault Girl Mod Development Thread

Hey guys, I've been rather busy lately so haven't worked on the mod a ton. However I'll share with you some info on what's up.

 

So I came to the realization that I need to change the way a few of my animations are done, specifically the armorer perk, charisma, and all the stats page animations. I've been using dark gray or black to have outlines for some stuff, and realized it does not look good in when the icon pops up on screen. Also for perks where it shows up slightly transparent in the crafting menu, I need to merge everything so the different layers don't overlap in a weird way.

 

Also working on Vatsmenu, hudmenu, and charisma in the dialog menu icons for now. Antiwomaagnot said he would help me import them into the proper swf files.

Here is the vats animation. All the fancy spinning and the puffs of breath are separate sprites in the file. These are sprites that will get imported into the menufile. :smile: It is possible to have it without glasses, but I like them. It's sort of a callback to my previous mod since she had glasses for the critical hit icon then too.

Not yet, but I'll pm you some stuff. I don't have a current folder with all the stuff in it uploaded anywhere. I can send you some things when I get home from work.

 

EDIT: Also someone was asking about the possibility of having really big vault girl figures, probably as craftable decorations. I would think as a new seperate mod.

 

One think that could be cool is Vault Girl riding a big rocket (like the red rocket) or mini nuke.

 

I'm thinking I'll do something similar to this one for a billboard. :smile:

Nice work man! This will be great for a billboard or poster in the game somewhere. I'll post about it when I implement it into the mod, and of course give credit.

Jesus Christmas I'm SO hype for this mod, I don't post much on these forums but I check this thread legit every day. I have a small request though~ (I think it's small? I'm not sure exactly what kind of work goes into making this stuff...)

If it's not too much to ask, could you perhaps make an alternative/optional Lover's Embrace animation featuring two girls for us queer chicks (and those playing as queer chicks, of course!)? Maybe to differentiate them the other girl could have darker hair, like in Shadman's Cherchez la Femme artwork featuring Vault Meat + Vault Girl? I'm sure others can agree that it feels a little silly when you're playing a female character and romance, say, Curie, and then get a hetero couple animation every time you sleep together, lol. At the very least, it would mean a lot to my partner and I if that could be doable! (•‿•)

I'm glad you're excited for the mod! :D I do plan to make a girl on girl lover's embrace for the mod. Either the light and dark hair like you said, or maybe one have a pixie cut, or have hair similar to the vanilla vault girl. :smile:

 

Also Xoad123 found the texture for the side of the vault tech vans for me. :D I edited those. Also been working on other posters, not done yet.
