Vault Girl Mod Development Thread

Hey people,

BTW I have updated the Vault Girl Mod Alpha again. Here are the changes from last time:

  • Added Vault Girl to all the Vault Posters.
  • Added another Vault Girl Nuka Sign to bus stops. Added some more texture/weathering to other Nuka Vault Girl billboards.
  • Adjusted the angle of Vault Girl's head in the status menu.

Known Issues:

  • The Charisma Icon pop up is still messed up.
  • You need to download a fix so the game doesn't crash when the Mechanist icon appears on the hud.
  • Vats pop up works but shimmies a little.
  • Most of the conditionclip body animations have not been made, so when damaged, Vault Girl will likely have the body of Vault Boy.
  • I do plan to make a same sex lover's embrace option.
  • I do plan to make a non bouncy version of special animations and status.


Once again, no one has permission to re-upload to the nexus or other websites unless I give it to them. I am open to collaboration. Let me know if you want to make a video of the mod, make a patch or help out, etc.

Feel free to post patches made and stuff like that here.

Sorry for my English! Thank you for your mod! I've been waiting for it! I noticed a conflict between your mod , and that's it - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5108/?

 

 

Yes, I have the same conflict with keynukr, but I just tell NMM to not install the file from Vault Girl. You will miss out on some icons in the Pip-boy interface, I believe, but that's about it.

It's probably the same reason why DEF_UI doesnt work with the mod properly.. yet.

The simple solution is to let keynukr or DEF_UI override the Vault Girl mod files.

 

However.. i suggest to not use any other interface mods if you wanna contribute to testing this mod, for obvious reasons.

Hey, i just wanted to ask if, you got the mod (this one: http://www.mediafire...d_F4_-_Alpha.7z) to work with the F4 1.5 beta patch! I made sure mods work, as i am using a texture mod with it (Downscaled textures 512 mod) I tried installing your mod using NMM, Since it is more organized. It appeared to put all the files where they where supposed to be in, i checked, but unfortunately, it is the reason of a instant crash to desktop as soon as the game loads in the world. (1/2 of mods currently installed, 1 being yours.) Or did i do it wrong? Does it have to be manual???

I was experiencing crashing as well, until I disabled (mod organizer) the following files:

 

\interface\hudmenu.fla

\interface\hudmenu.swf

 

If you are using NMM, try deleting those two files from wherever your mod was installed, and see if it helps. Fixed my crashing issues entirely.

Since 1.5 includes the new Survival mode, im assuming they added some new HUD/Interface related stuff which is probably incompatible with this mod.

However.. Bethesda didn't disable mods for fun in their Beta patches. It has the same effect here..

Reporting an Issue with both the Mod and Game in a Beta state is little helpful.. since this might be an issue that is fixed when 1.5 is out of beta.

 

Not speaking on BigC's behalf here.. just my thoughts on this.

From what I have read, Beth didn't disable mods for the survival beta, but they did alter the methodology for loading custom esm's and esp's. NMM and MO have simply not caught up with the new process.
