yerude
Hello everyone, before some smart alecks cry, i tried out to find some myself but neither in google/youtube nor in this forum via search i was satisfied. I am pretty new to fo4edit and i just want to change some perks. So i could need some help how to do in general. What i want to do in detail: Changes to crafting:Delete regular weapon and armor crafting (i want the player to only assemble and disassemble mods which can be found on weapons you loot or buy. So you will always enjoy getting new stuff instead of getting pissed and bored because you will be OP after 10h gameplay anyway)Change armor crafting maybe to something like "settlement crafting" so every point in it should give you some recipes (instead of trying to get the stupid magazines which i wasnt able to find without some internet guide, that pisses me. I dislike, that i found everything when i just finished the game)General changes:Delete lvl requirements but change stats requirement as i like (i found some perk mods which does exactly this, i could imagine overworking the whole perktree. The idea is, that you start with lvl 1 with all stats on 1 (faster xp mod to compensate). Everytime you lvl up you may chose which stat or perk you want to increase, no lvl restrictions. So you might wanna chose some perks early, you have to lvl the mainstat of it and than you can chose it. The vanilla skilltree realy pisses me. I finished the game with lvl 50 and it kinda sucked you get most perks when you dont need them anymore (after lvl 30 you are absolutely OP even on survival anyway)more flat dmg improvements (compensates by some realistic weapon dmg mods)lesser sneak attack dmghigher endurance benefits (it is more rpg like, in vanilla i only put 2 points on endurance and didnt even used one perk... there was no need for. If enemies deal even more dmg but also endurance grants more health, you will have some more choices if you want to become tankier or maybe a glass canon squishier dd)Some aspects may be very difficult to do, some may be very easy. I dont want you to do all the work, i just want to ask for some help, maybe some tutorial. I dont know how to find where the passives for more recipes are listed and how to grant these passives with perks. For deleting crafting i also thought about setting their lvl requirement for lvl 100 which will result in the same, but looks realy stupid. The only gameplay mechanism i could realy enjoy is the combination of mix your weapon mods for different weapon types, based on crafting.Something like if you have craft energy weapons 1 and ballistic weapons1 you could put both mods on each other. This would be very funny. (dont get me wrong, i dont want you to CRAFT these mods, i want to allow ASSEMBLING them on different weapons depending on how many points in crafting you have. But i guess this might become very difficult to do)
JTL2
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe FO4edit is very limited in what it can do regarding perks. I am also planning a perk overhaul mod, and have played around in FO4edit to see if I can do anything. And really, I can't make heads or tails of it, either. I really think this is something we have to wait on the GECK for. I just did a quick search for "perk" mods, and there aren't very many that do what you want. I see a few that increase/decrease effectiveness, but that's simply changing the current values. Most of them are BAT files to give you all perks and what-not. But hey, they said the GECK was coming "early 2016". And it is early 2016. So....
yerude
I tested some mods, changed some, and did quite well so far.First problem i figured out, if you try to compensate fewer special points with faster lvl progression, that realy sucks because enemies and items will change too fast. So you miss half the content. So i used this mod instead:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3938/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D3938&pUp=1and changed every attribute points you will get each level. Default is 2 actionpoints each level, this script is great, you can change for every single lvl how many points you will get.So the leveling system now works alot better, combine it with some other perk progression, something like 75% level requirement mod and you can do very well. For all the other things i havent changed any yet. Want to do it step by step to maintain a good playable and fluent game experience. (i am still soooo pissed, that fallout 4 is such a great game, and its difficulty is soooooo boooooringly easy)
