Mod to stretch out the Iron - Steel - Dwarven progression

I'm level 7 and just came across my first orcish armor. Is there a mod that stretches out the drop rate of armor so I'm getting iron at lvls 1-10, steel at 10-20, dwarven at 20-30 or something along those lines? I want to extend the length of time I'm using the different types of armor so I'll look forward to getting the next grade, but as it is right now I feel like I'm getting to the good stuff far too quickly. I had one piece of steel drop before I already started seeing dwarven.

I have Maskars Oblivion Overhaul and thought that would balance out the loot progression but either I don't understand the concept of leveled loot or I haven't configured it correctly (all default settings). Hope someone can help.

Your best bet is probably to find a mod that modifies the leveled lists as close as you like and then learn how to open them up in the Construction Set and modify them to your exact liking. You could do this on your own from scratch as well and create your own personal "tweaks" mod.

Leveled just means that you can only potentially get a certain item if you are at least the level it has been set at, and this number can vary from lists to list, whether vanilla or modded. There is also a setting that checks for lower level items so that, for example you can still get iron if you are high enough to find dwarven at best.

Unfortunately I think you are looking at either requesting another modder to do this for you or learning how to do it yourself. Thankfully I think leveled lists are among the easier type things to learn the the CS.

I've thought about making a mod like this, that doubles the leveled list length (since all leveled lists max at 25 or 30, and under vanilla rules it's generally not possible to go much over 50). But the biggest problem is that, unless it's OBSE script-based, this would cause MASSIVE conflicts with many other mods.

I've asked the Wrye Bash guys about it, to see if this is something they'd be interested in adding.
