Artillery smoke grenade range (not artillery range)

Whenever you throw an artillery smoke grenade, it seems to hit an invisible barrier and then plop to the ground. It doesn't matter what direction you look at and throw it. It seems as if there's this invisible bubble around your character that hits this grenade whenever you throw it.

This makes the grenade incredibly impractical to use since it falls too close to you.

This is more of a bug fix than a mod. Could someone please increase the range of this artillery grenade so that I can strike unsuspecting enemies from really afar? This grenade should at least travel as far as regular grenades.

I was working on my explosives mod "The Mad Bomber's workshop" and thought I'd have a look at this, I really haven't tried to use the Artillery smoke much while playing but I was thinking about making a Smoke or Gas Grenade for "The Mad Bomber".

This issue here isn't so much the range of the Artillery Smoke Grenade, It's really the timer until the Smoke explosion goes off. When the smoke explosion happens the grenade stops moving forward and fall straight to the ground. This means if you try to throw one at a high arch to get it to go further you really are shortening the range because of the time it takes for it to go up before coming down to explode. (Many times it just explodes in mid air still on the way up then drops right where ever it is in the arch)

Vanilla stats,

FragGrenade,

Range, 15000

Explosion Timer, 2.5

Artillery Smoke Grenade,

Range, 10000

Explosion Timer, .8

I tested the Artillery smoke Grenade with the same stats as the Frag Grenade and the big issue was sometimes it would go to far and you couldn't even see the smoke or where it landed.

I decided to set the stats to,

Artillery Smoke Grenade,

Range, 10000

Explosion Timer, 1.6

This effectively doubled the range of the Artillery smoke and you could still see where it landed.

So Try this if you like "Artillery Smoke Grenade Fix", I have done very little testing on it and it only changes the one timer.

If you really want to test how far you can throw it go to "The Castle" on a clear night (Night is important) Stand by the truck next to the building where you first test the artillery smoke. Go into God mode and throw a few grenades, You can see a small flash of light when they go off and that is as far as they will ever go. (Unless you up the timer again. that is.)

Hope this helps you out.
