Thantic
Is there an ini option to zoom out farther in the map? Or a mod that already does it?
roamwild
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5048/?This (my) little file will tell you where this can be found, but only for "Local" map. Hope it helps. Edit: I also just realized that I removed the .ini entries from the Description so you'll have to download to see what I did....so I'll stick it here until I get around to fixing my mistake. Fallout4.inior Fallout4custom.ini [Mapmenu]; fLocalMapLoadedAreaRadius_Interior=4096; fLocalMapLoadedAreaRadius=4096 ^ default values
Thantic
Sweet, thanks! How do you figure out what works in the ini and what doesn't? Just from other game tweaking experience?
roamwild
Trial and error. This particular tweak came from a user who posted to my modpage's comments, though :)
chucksteel
You can change the world map zoom by editing the Interface\PipboyMap.swf there is a scrip in it that controls the zoom I did a version for myself that increased the zoom so you don't get a cluster of map markers downtown. Thantic
Where can I get the PipboyMap.swf to edit? I don't actually have an interface folder.
chucksteel
you have to extract it from the interface BA2. I use Bethesda Archive Extractor , Extract the file to a new folder find the one you need and edit it with JPEX. (you'll have to google that one.)
