  1. In response to post #37449960. #37452725 is also a reply to the same post.
  2. Three cheers for the Nexus staff and its continued support/development of the site!
  3. In response to post #37440470. VirusTotal's FAQ page says 128MB is maximum size for the Web scan interface which is what I believe the Nexus uses. https://www.virustotal.com/en/faq/ Not an official response of course but I believe it answers your question.
  4. After the fix to chat on 29 April, I noticed that the Emoticons panel won't load; also the Member list (right pane) won't update without a page refresh (F5). Avatars not displaying consistently/properly without page refresh is nothing new. Tested with Firefox 46.0 'Safe Mode' (add-ons disabled) after cache/local data cleared Tested with Chrome 50.0.2661.94 (no add-ons) I first observed these issues last night (Mar 01) Screenshot example: I never noticed these issues before the glitch with SSL and subsequent reversion/fix. Another chat user reports the same issue(s).
  5. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4051700-ssl-testing-on-nexus-mods/ The work integrating SSL is ongoing, apparently:
  6. Thanks very much for these informative, timely and concise posts!
  7. Looking forward to trying this, even though my whole settlement isn't worth 2k caps yet and I don't have boots that will carry me that far. Console ho!
  8. Can't believe I didn't see this coming. Haven't been playing the game for some time, or lurking around the Forums much: this video is my first glimpse of the project. Great idea, looks like a great start to the execution too. Your phraseology cracks me up: "We're also gonna test the anti-kill-each-other mechanic..." Work like yours is gonna ensure that, just like with Skyrim, I will never approach completion of the vanilla main story. Cheers!
  9. Thanks Necrocytosis, for putting this together and getting it stickied. Great start, hopefully it fills to bursting with good resources. 10. Hope the site gets a lot of (good) data from these reports on Ads! I think this coming (tiered) system is a great incentive for members to support the site, one way or another. Incentivize, not punish, sort of a refreshing tactic and very, very welcome. I always appreciate these very detailed and frank posts from Dark0ne.
  11. Automatic Quicksaver Mod (an executable), I do not endorse this and I do not use it but it might be helpful for you: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7986/? Other requests for this with some discussion maybe?: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3381520-req-autosave-mod http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3826240-auto-save-manager http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3684020-auto-save There are a lot of people who want this, or something like it - it's a bit of a no-brainer. If it has not already been done then it will be - as soon as a way is found by whoever wants it enough to do the work. If I wanted to make an auto-saver for myself I would probably use autohotkey to either just periodically send my quicksave key to the game i.e. F5 every 10 minutes... Or I would write a script to enter the console and type 'save save001' with the 001 being incremented each time so i can make separate saves for each "autosave" of the script, on whichever timer I put it on. Authotkey is really powerful and easy-to-use if you are willing to learn even just a little bit of scripting (or find one already written on the Web if you trust the uploader). I just use Quicksave and Manual Save, this is something that has been trained into me after years of playing; important work or actions especially along a quest-line are saved as new. It's quick and cheap, most games I just delete all the oldest saves or leave 3-hour checkpoints.
  12. I would love to see this fix available on the Nexus! Hangman's Alley presents an interesting space in which to build. I spent well over an hour building out into this area, and probably as long trying to get people to use it. Congrats on finding a fix, hope you share it with us!
  13. I haven't found a guide yet that's written specifically for FO4 but the same basic steps apply as for previous Beth games. You can either make a Steam Backup which will only backup core game files from original installation, delete your entire game folder, and restore from the backup. Also be sure to backup and remove your save games and .ini files in My Documents/My Games/Fallout4. For a more 'manual' method: In Fallout4/Data/ folder (where all mods except loaders/injectors, script extenders are stored), delete all folders and files except the base game files - keep the Video folder, and any .ba2 files, and files beginning with "Fallout4 -" i.e. "Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2". In the base game folder make sure you delete any ENB or other custom loaders, injectors, etc. Here's a tool posted by a member of the Nexus that will clean your data folder of anything but vanilla files: Fallout 4 Data Folder Scrubber by ShadowReign Productions http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/153/? Good luck, my recommendation is to always keep backups :o)
  14. Welcome to the Nexus and its Forums! You're certainly in the right place as a fan of Bethesda titles. Hope you enjoy your stay and your well-earned retirement. Got a 'few' years left before I can join you there ;o)
  15. Worth noting that authors can choose to disable user-submitted images for their mods so you may not always see this button on a modpage. You can still add images to the Image Share of a Nexusmods game site (as long as they conform to the rules) by hovering your mouse cursor over the Images button near the top (by Files) and clicking Add an Image.
  16. Welcome to the Nexus, or at least to the social side of it! For image hosting I can personally recommend imgur.com - it's what I use to host any pics that I post to a forum. What I like about Imgur is that it's relatively ad-free, and doesn't require a lot of scripts / applications to be run in browser just to view a photo (like photobucket, or tinypic). You don't need an account either - you can just upload 'anonymously'. After uploading your image, just right-click on it and Copy Image Location - this is the address you can use to embed (or just link) directly into a forum post or private message. Good luck getting that help, and enjoy your stay.
  17. Do you mean that it is greyed out in the menu? I'm not sure what you mean by 'everything else was right' - what was right, and what wasn't? If you have the correct information for YOUR installation - not anyone else's - then you should have it working. The only reason (unless something else is broken) you should not be able to choose Fallout 4 from the drop-down menu is if: in LOOT settings, for FO4, your Install Path Registry Key is not correct, AND you have an incorrect Install Path. Where is your game installed - your Fallout exe - Did you install the game through Steam, and did you change the installation directory?
  18. I haven't had any issues between ENB and MsiAB / RTSS but I haven't played for a while either. I think the issue is only with RTSS. Are you sure you're closing Rivatuner Statistics Server (RTSS)? This is the program that provides OSD and 'interfaces' with the rendering process in order to: present the OSD, capture screenshots and video, and in some systems provides monitoring of points like CPU usage / temps for AB. Unless you actually disable all use of this program by AB then it will continue to run. I don't think AB itself will interfere with rendering if all calls to this service are disabled. There is an option in AB to run in 'Single tray icon mode' - User Interface tab. This will essentially hide the RTSS icon and you may not realize it is still running. Make sure this is unchecked. Disable 'Show in OSD' for any monitoring items that you have enabled. Clear your hotkeys for all OSD, screenshot and video capture functions. Click in the box for each hotkey and press Del. Disable any monitoring which depends on RTSS (read documentation). Eventually once you clear enough and press OK, the RTSS icon will disappear as the process shuts down (no longer visible in task manager). Example: I can't replicate your bug even with latest ENB, it works fine with my MSI AB / RTSS - so can't know if this will help - I can only wish you luck. I hope there's not a much easier way to keep RTSS from running, my time here would be wasted! I only thought of googling after I wrote this. Let me know ;o)
  19. Coulda sworn as well that I saw a mod purporting to fix these sorts of issues. Can't find it anymore, of course. Not a helpful post but at least if you're imagining / mixed up then you're not alone. Edit: found the mod I was thinking of - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6382/? "Fallout 4 Window Helper". This only helps avoid an issue when already using Windowed Borderless mode, though.
  20. F4SE requirement: That's unfortunate! I wouldn't expect backwards compatibility either. I'm I haven't yet tried to use LOOT with Fallout 4, I'm looking forward to it in the future though. Has nobody had success with this and posted about it on the forums or elsewhere on the web? I just tried it for myself, briefly. All indications were that it would work for me Here's what I did to get NMM/LOOT/FO4 functionality: Downloaded the latest archive (LOOT v0.8.1-121-g7ddb9d4 - Snapshot) from LOOT's pageExtracted this archive to a directoryPointed NMM at this directory so it can find LOOTPicture of this: Clicked the Loot button in NMM.Loot ran but was pointed to my Skyrim installation.Clicked 1. Game selection and chose Fallout 4 then 2. Sort Plugins Button shown in picture:Latest LOOT Thread link is great There are no online Masterfiles yet that I saw but the Loot tool will use its own rules to examine and order your plugins, I think. Thanks! I have not used it for my game yet, but I at least got NMM set up for Loot and it did seemed to Do Something to my load order. After writing this,I found [this thread] on the Bethsoft forums for Loot - the readme linked there is very thorough. Good luck, hope this is helpful.
  21. Great introduction, welcome to the forums and to the Nexus - thank you for bringing your newfound skills and your passion here!

    Hello!

Welcome, I wish you a frustration-free and amazing experience. If you get stuck with troubleshooting mods then check this forum section If you look at my posts, from my profile you might find hopefully helpful links that I've offered people. I'm new to posting and the forums too so I'm still figuring stuff out every time I try to do something or especially when trying to answer a question.
  23. Welcome and thanks for bringing your talent here in any form or measure.
  24. I first registered on the Nexus around the time Skyrim was released if I recall correctly. I lurked and downloaded until the release of Fallout 4. That is the first game which I've uploaded (minor) mods for and it was this which got me started conversing with other members. I won't go into too much detail or at such length as with some of my other posts, because I'm far less interesting than anything else that goes on here. Thanks if you read this - you flatter me. Enjoy your free (and free) time here as I have!
  25. Welcome to the Nexus! Read this thread please. See my other posts to this 'Newbies' section too, you may find some of the links in them helpful.
