3bestpals Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I was wondering if it is currently possible or a wait-for-GECK scenario to have a writable Journal as a custom item in, say, the Misc. tab. It would be cool if it looked like written pages (Publick Occurences font/paper for example), but not completely necessary. I play with realism and would love to document my daily spoils/encounters in game rather than tabbing out or handwriting them. Plus i like the idea of an item in-game for immersion sake. Thanks!
Arnaeus Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Plus an option to save coordinates in those notes. On lower levels I stumbled across locked up power armors everywhere but couldn't get them. So i used an item with perfect immersion: Paper.
Valykry Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Agree'd Handwritten notes would be an interesting idea. And I have an idea to expand on Arnaeus' suggestion. When writing the notes, for the sake of realism, if you choose to save the coordinates on the notes, they also appear as a set of handwritten coordinates, BUT this also gives the notes the ability to be 'activated' much like a quest. once activated, they provide an actual in-game waypoint marker to the location you were standing when you created the note. For immersions sake, just imagine the process of you entering the coordinates on the note into your pipboy.

tritonforge Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 A couple mods just like this were made for Skyrim (in game journal you could type into), so it's possible.
KevinZiggy Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 It might be possible to do something like adding a place to write logs in the Data tab of your Pip-Boy.
