Brahmin counts toward settler population?

Ah, yes, settlers on the way there ARE counted. You can see that if you reassign a settler, for example.

But yeah, if a guy was spawned, it will be at a small-ish distance and moving to the settlement, but already counted. And if then he got stuck running against a bus, or more likely being knocked on his ass again and again by some supermutants, for two days, that's exactly what you'd see.

I never had issues with settlers like this, simply because I have only 1 settlement that has a recruitment beacon(starlight drive in).

All new settlers go there, and from that point on I manually decide where they all go and which clothes/weapons they get.

And its probably also easier to catch synth spies this way, if you know what I mean.

Another thing I do is always write down how many settlers each settlement has, just to keep track of things.

And once I make a settler a provisioner I always open console and click on him to write down hes ID, this way if I ever want to give all my provisioners other clothes or weapons I just make them spawn in front of me with commands "prid ID" and "moveto player".

Some folks spend days trying to find their provisioners because they roam the entire map...well not on my watch :smile:

Here is a snippet from my fallout 4 text file:

POPULATION:
Sanctuary:28
Abernathy Farm:12
Graygarden:7
Tenpines Bluff:2
Oberland Station:2
Covenant:10
The Slog:8
Greentop Nursery:2
County Crossing:2
Finch Farm:4
Boston Airport:2
The Castle:7
Warwick Homestead:6
Sommerville Place:3

PROVISIONERS:
Sanctuary -> Abernathy Farm: ff00af80
Sanctuary -> Starlight Drive In: ff003d2f
The Castle-> Sanctuary: ff006b9b
The Slog -> Sanctuary: ff011641
Graygarden-> Sanctuary: ff0270f2
Covenant -> Sanctuary: ff010632

And then there is also that mod that lets you rename your settlers to for example "Farmer", really handy!

As you can see I like to micromanage everything, I guess this is the only way to really figure out whats actually going on with your settlements.

Nah, don't shoot them. They're easy to please, and you'll just get settlers pissed. And not sure they count anyway :smile:

EDIT http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brahmin_(Fallout_4)

Thanks for the info. Annoying that the game makes absolutely zero mention how all that works. I am getting tired of these Brahmin materializing in some interesting places where they shouldn't be able to get in.

The most important part of Fallout 4 is google and the command prompt... no kidding!

Console use for builders is a must have. Unless you just like to be a masochistic bastard.
