The red rocket cave is right behind the building.. like, right there. And has some nice loot for a starting player.

There are indications for when a rad storm is coming. I notice it when I am outside the city. Usually they come in the mornings, for me. The whole area gets kind of foggy. The fog doesn't go away when the sun rises. The sky, and horizon, go a green color, and then storm rolls in. I don't know if this will help, or not, but it can. Being somewhere to wait, or sleep, can help, a lot.

 

What I would like to see, in a mod, or a few, is where you use "paint" to coat the walls of houses, etc. to add resistance to radiation. Or a change to the cement flooring, that includes lead in and available on it, to add protection from radiation, would be cool too. Of course the lead would be come radioactive, at some point, and you would need to replace it. But this might be a good idea.

It's coming. Maybe not in paint version, but it will. GECK will make it all possible and people will go wild with it.
