SassyTheSasquatch1
Hey everyone, I am quite new to modding but I've been playing games most of my life. I have the fondest memories of my brothers fighting over our crappy family computer. It would end with "Both of you, get off the computer!". That was my time to play games like Vietcong and Pocket Tanks. I have to say my favourite game company is Bethesda Softworks. I first fell in love with them upon the release of the PlayStation 3. My brother bought a PS3 with 4 games for $80 from some idiot down the road. One of those games was "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- Game of The Year Edition". I inserted the disk and began to play. I created my first character, a "lizard-man" (Argonian). His name was Soap. I named him after John "Soap" Mactavish from Call of Duty: MW3. A green man with pointy ears and red eyes was being a jerk. I was in prison. Suddenly, Patrick Stewart appears and tells me he had a dream about me. He reveals he is the Emperor. He and his bodyguards let me tag along with them through a secret tunnel that was located in my cell. These guys dressed in red kept trying to kill us. One of the guards was killed. I took her sword. Then, they left me trapped in there. Suddenly, the wall exploded and a giant rat came at me and I killed it. I progressed further and then there was moaning sound coming from further in the tunnel. A ZOMBIE! That was possibly the scariest thing that happened to me. A few years later, a new Elder Scrolls game was announced. Skyrim. I remember killing an enemy in the Imperial City Arena and hearing "We'll send her remains back to Skyrim." This game was awesome! I still played Oblivion though. Years after that, my nephew bought the game for PC. He never got to play it because he couldn't download it. So I used his account and enabled Steam Family Sharing. That was when I started using mods. Now, I was using my dad's laptop, which was pretty decent for gaming. I had so many mods and I wanted to start making my own. They were terrible. I still used them. Then, one day, after my computer was seemingly getting hotter and going slower, it just stopped working. I couldn't open or close programs, so I decided to turn the computer off then back on. I just had a grey screen. This was at the end of 2014. Early last year, I got my first true gaming PC. It was custom built (minus the parts and case). It cost my parents $1200. I was so grateful. I still am. It doesn't have a fancy i7 processor like the laptop, but it runs like a beast. The first few days were hard. I had to configure the screen resolution on our old computer monitor (which I still use), which was a pain. I had to redownload each and every game. And my mods. My glorious, wonderful mods! Now, in 2016, I have created my very first 3D mesh. This is a revolutionary moment. I never thought I would do this. I plan to start my modding career here on Nexus Mods. I plan to add this sword mesh to Skyrim. I want to texture it myself. This will probably be the hardest part tbh. Eventually I want to be making guns for Fallout 4, but I'll need to become more familiar with 3ds Max. I'll need to learn how to animate the parts. Thank you so much for reading this lengthy story. I want to thank modders such as InsanitySorrow and Ghosu for inspiring me to learn to create my own weapon mods.
