MistuhMcStabbeh Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I'm not sure if this is a recurring problem, but it didn't start happening to me until recently. Whenever I try and edit my character's face (tried both showlooksmenu and surgeon), the moment I mouse over the face (hair doesn't seem to be an issue), the game closes (I would say crashes, but there's no error message). This also only happens with the female character for me. I've tried both male and female and it works without issue for the man. I don't use any texture mods that would alter the face, other than eyes. I tried disabling that and it made no difference. Any ideas on how to fix or what the problem is? adakutay Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 I'm having the same problem. It was totaly good then it become impossible to change my characters face. Disabled everything no good. Kosuna Posted June 14, 2017 Share Posted June 14, 2017 Fixing character gen crash : Go to your install folder, go into Data, and open the Textures folder and into Interface (......\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Interface) Cut or delete the folder named CharacterGen and start the game.
