dirtysantabmf
i get this bug but only for big files. i.e a 1mb download works but i havent tested anything else. but!... i find if i extract the files from the 7z archive and then readd the files to a rar archive instead of 7z it works! but this is awfully annoying to do for every mod and i havent yet found another fix. MrNobody96
Basically what dirtysanta said; I've that converting the files to either RAR or Zip will get them to work. I use PeaZip to convert files. However I've also read that this can sometimes occur with all file types If you don't have enough disk space to install the mod. Friaos
I have found yet another possible solution! This worked for me atleast. I uninstalled ByteFence Malware, some kind of anti-malware program that somehow found its way in my computer (while installing some other program). My advice: evaluate your anti-malware/anti-virus programmes and see if switching them off or uninstalling (some of) them works!!
