Hickory
I'm curious. If you have a Radeon 4800 and a 2.66 quad core (same specs as me) without any mods, why do you need Streamline? My guess is that Streamline may be cotributing to this issue -- I never could use it.

Hickory
Do you have the game installed in the default 'Program Files' folder structure? And which version of the game do you have (retail DVD, Steam, D2D etc?)
aidasasinas
i have installed in \C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivionmy version is retail
Hickory
Ok, then your first step now should be to uninstall Oblivon out of the Windows' protected 'Program Files' folder structure -- this can cause all manner of issues for games like Oblivion. Reinstall it to somewhere like C:\Games\Oblivion. Once you have done that, add Oblivion.exe to your DEP exclusion list.
aidasasinas
i reinstalled it to a diferent location, added oblivion to DEP exceptions list but it didint help. it still keeps crashing
Hickory
Right, so you have Oblivion installed outside of Program Files, executable added to DEP exclusion list, no mods added and it still keeps crashing? Two things to try: First, delete your \Documents\My Games\Oblivion\oblivion.ini file and then run the game from OblivionLauncher.exe to re-initialize your hardware and settings. Try running the game now. If it doesn't work, then I can only assume a system problem. Make sure that you scan your system for malware and viruses with up to date antivirus databases -- do a complete system scan. Also, make sure you check for overheating -- clean out the inside of your box, especially around fans and vents, with a can of compressed air, and do not place the box anywhere near heat sources, electrical sources or against solid objects that will restrict air flow. aidasasinas
i deleted oblivion.ini, runed the game through oblivion_launcher.exe and the game crashed after 5mins. i did a virus scan recently and there were no viruses found. i used to play oblivion with plenty of mods on my old PC. i had to use oldblivion though but there were no such crashes. but a year ago i bought this new powerful PC and get these stupid crashes Edited April 21, 2011 by aidasasinas
HeyYou
Post a dxdiag please. Click on start, then run, (or, if vista/win7, just use the search box.) type in dxdiag, and hit the enter key. It will ask something about WHQL certification, pick an answer, doesn't matter which. An app will appear, with a progress bar down on the lower left. Wait until the app is done, then, click on Save All Information. Just accept the defaults, and it will place dxdiag.txt on your desktop. double click on the file to open it, then, copy/paste the whole thing, (yes, ALL of it) into a post in this thread. You can delete the file from your desktop afterwards.
