raatorotta
I'm not sure about prices, it depents where you live, but you should sell them as parts. You get more profit that way.

CommanderCrazy
Well, where I live, if you sold them as whole units you would probably get about $500 total. They are very old hardware.
bben46
Before selling be absolutely sure there is nothing on the hard drives that can be traced back to you. Best case, reformat the hard drives. If you want to sell them with an operating system you may not want to do this though as you will not get as much for them. If you have the system disks that came with them, go ahead and reformat, then reinstall the original Operating system. Otherwise, use the windows remove program list from the windows control panel (remove programs in XP) to completely remove everything except the Windows files. Then run a cleanup program that securely cleans empty space to prevent someone from recovering the files
N3C14R
Yeah, I'll do a reformat before it even leaves my house. I have the first one up on an auction site. I hope someone hits the reserve. :)

Vagrant0
Yeah, I'll do a reformat before it even leaves my house. I have the first one up on an auction site. I hope someone hits the reserve. :)Do a Department of Defense write over on all drives before restoring factory data. this writes all 1's then all 0's to the drive through a couple reformatting passes making it very difficult to collect anything useful. As for pricing, depending on severity of usage, I wouldn't expect anything more than $250 for the first unit (which is still somewhat passable by current standards and could be a semi-decent machine for a small family/college student without too many demands or as a bridge between a broken machine and getting money for something better) and about $80 for the second unit(which is maybe only good for spare parts). But again, a lot of it depends on location and how much they were used.
