MLGMikefgts
Well... I decided to take an attempt at voice acting, but I want to make sure what people think before I go all try hard, embarrassing myself in the process. So I'd like some feedback on a demo I did. https://soundcloud.com/mikes-voices Age: 16Country: Sweden
Ethreon
Most time you sound like a 25-30 yo soldier. While not a native, can't tell you're Swedish either (your english has a very specific nordic accent). Good voice!

When GECK comes out, I suggest you team up with a companion mod author to have a custom voice for custom companion. I am now traveling with MacCready, and surprisingly I really like his comments. Each and every companion in this game has some 3000+ lines of dialogue, crazy. But you can start with the simpler ones. That is, if you know how to code you can create your own companion mod. Comment on your sound file. Why only single channel? It's fine, dialogue doesn't need to be in stereo. I work with audio recording (in video production) and ADR before. I think the only way you can really improve is when you already put your voice into test. Will it sound immersive, as part of the game, or people can hear this recording is of different quality than the game, and almost immediately feel it's a player mod. I think that is extremely important. Other than that, I think I like to hear your voice as my companion too.
tomomi1922
New idea. Why don't you do a custom radio channel? Like Travis with Diamond City radio. The game doesn't allow new radio channel yet but you can perfectly replace existing one. You can take over the Classic channel (it's all music anyway, nothing interactive). I think you can record the files and it should be easy and straight forward to replace what we have in the Classic radio. Instead of mimicking Travis and his style, you can pretend to be "Raider radio" or Gunner, BOS, etc.... or even some NCR channel from the west coast (that mysteriously have signal to Boston). If you really want to do something with your voice acting, this is the fastest thing you can do right now for FO4. And while this won't be the only thing to have, you will know exactly how it will sound in game. Does it sound like a real radio when you walk around in Boston, shooting people, and listen to radio, or does it sound like some kid's poor attempt at faking it? Worth a shot.If you absolutely need, I can try to help you put the recording onto FO4 radio channel. Don't know how to do it yet, but I think it's not too hard. Ethreon
The game totally allows custom made radios, including your own recorded adverts and all the sweet stuff. You need to know a bit of xEdit, but here's a link. This is just a framework and example, one could, with some work, get it working even without xEdit knowledge. I am going to record something off radio just to put it in for a try. I love Travis ... I do, but his stuff IS TOO REPETITIVE.

Well, that one channel thing, normally when I use my studio mic it's broken on one side and I have to convert to mono, but this time I forgot :P New idea. Why don't you do a custom radio channel? tomomi1922
How about just worry about getting the actual content of the radio channel out? A good many of us can convert it to something we can put in as a mod.
Kingcato
Nice voice, nice acting. But get a pop-shield for your mic. And i hear a constant sine around 200hz in the background.
