VikingII
what it happens if I erase the *.obse files in the savegame directory? (The ones that accompany the real save files (*.ess) from the game) it will mess up something? what function do they have? thanks!
Striker879
Shouldn't hurt anything as long as you're deleting both (the .ess and .obse for each save). If you want to be cautious, move the ones you want to delete to another folder and see if your current saves still work alright.
HeyYou
They should be in matched pairs. If you want to keep a save, keep the matching OBSE file as well. It stores information from obse scripts and such, that the save game will not. If you delete just the obse file, and then try and load the save, you can expect things to be broken. :D
