Beta installed, Spring Cleaning & F4SE updated for beta. All mods up-to-date, all meshes manually installed.
I'm CTD on certain categories (Structures-Misc for example). I'm letting each category fully load before navigating their menu. Idk, but I'm guessing this has something to do with a combination of SnB, Homemaker & the beta? Has anyone reproduced this by chance?

The fault is with Homemaker. It doesn't unzip correctly. You need to take a look at it, and see if you have meshes\meshes. If so, then copy the second meshes into the first, and then delete the second one. That should get you back to "normal."

ExpandedSettlementBuildings_Homemaker.esp=1 <- don't use this patch and make sure, you use the uncategorized version of this mod

ExpandedSettlementBuildings_SimpleIntersection.esp=1 <- put this somewhere below both ExpandedSettlementBuildings.esp=1 and Simple Intersection.esp=1

Don't use beta patches when modding. The current beta patches make changes to workbench functionality. While you might get lucky and it works, you can't expect that mods just work fine with beta patches. And don't expect mod authors to accommodate their mods to beta patches. The risk for unnecessary work and having to revert changes over and over again is just too high. Revert back to 1.2.47 and stay with the retail patches.

@SirTwist: that special behaviour you describe is known to happen when using MO2. While NMM also sometimes has its issues with installing meshes, it has not been due to the behaviour you describe. And with both NMM and MO2, it has not only happened with Homemaker but with other mods as well. Please stop your dogmatic crusade against Homemaker.

Crusade? What crusade?

Anyway, I am still dealing with missing shops category, and I am too attached to Homemaker to let go of it. I did think about uninstall Homemaker just to create shops, then reinstall Homemaker. But the whole thing may carry a risk. Now this thread introduced me the Expanded Settlement, hahah, more trouble for me.

I have had this experience before, I narrowed it down to a conflict between Project commonwealth, Homemaker, and SSEX, I found that if I had the settlement Keyword mod loaded it would allow me to see more but It was Project Commonwealth that was doing most of the blocking. I messed with my load order quite a bit and could not get it worked out.

I have since unloaded Project commonwealth awaiting the author to make it friendly with SK, then I will reload.

I am now seeing all of my menus.

Hope this helps, this is just my experience.

In case others have similar issues, from Homemakers Posts section:

Forgot to take the homemaker patch off that list. Totally missed the Simple Intersection one - thanks!

Dammit, yeah it was Beta. I was afraid of that.

Thanks Wax.

@tomomi1922: I recall your name from somewhere. Did you already post a thread about your issues? If not, feel free to do so and include your load order.

Was2k, you have seen fit to attack me several times when I have given advice. And have I attacked you? I may have said somethings that, while true, could be construed as an attack on you. Aside from that, everything I have stated about Homemaker being the cause of problems has been true. And even though SSex may crash, it has been far more stable than Homemaker. And before anyone else says, it was made, from scratch, with FO4Edit. It states that on the mod page. And I do know that the beta patch has caused problems for many mods. And even though they are beta, it is still better than not keeping up to date with the moves that Bethesda are making. And every single settlement mod that has not been modded to the latest beta patch, will crash to desktop when trying to use them. I didn't say might, I didn't say maybe, I said will. With that said, it is best to avoid using Homemaker until it is fixed, again. I will continue my "crusade" until it is fixed. And even the mod author of Homemaker doesn't know why it does not work with Mod Organizer 2. I can sum it up to this, the mod author did not properly package the mod for use, and that is why it crashes your game. It has nothing to do with Mod Organizer or NMM, but the mod itself. The best advice is to download it, unzip it, change the file structures, then repackage it, and use it through your mod manager. And if you do use Mod Organizer 2, you will be able to look at every thing, and move things around inside of it before you install it. And that is a second way to fix the problem. Will this work? It is possible, but I won't use it until such a time as it is really ready for use.

@SirTwist: did you realize, that the issues the OP had, already have been fixed and were not related to Homemaker itself or the installation process of Homemaker in NMM? And I won't even comment on the rest of your... how should I call it... let's go with "...ment". May everyone decide for themselves, what to fill in there.

@tomomi1922: THAT crusade :wink:
