Deleted4363562User
Trying to run some ENBs but the d3d11 files don't play nice with Afterburner and Precision, so as it stands I can't think of any viable way to control fan speed. Any suggestions?
soupdragon1234
I think you mean d3d9.dll files. I don't have a problem running Afterburner with an ENB myself its just the onscreen information display that doesn't play nice. If you really want to display fps then Steam will do that for you and if you want an fps limiter then theres a function in ENB for that too. edit: Ah, ok, my binaries are out of date it seems. The latest ENB binaries don't include a d3d9.dll. Maybe I am missing something, but I tried disabling OSD in both Precision and Afterburner, but to no avail. I either get the same errors as before, or Fallout 4 simply doesn't start correctly and hangs. I have a fps counter in Shadow Play, so now problem with that. I just would like a way to control fan speed while using an ENB.
roamwild
I haven't had any issues between ENB and MsiAB / RTSS but I haven't played for a while either. This is the program that provides OSD and 'interfaces' with the rendering process in order to: present the OSD, capture screenshots and video, and in some systems provides monitoring of points like CPU usage / temps for AB. Unless you actually disable all use of this program by AB then it will continue to run. I don't think AB itself will interfere with rendering if all calls to this service are disabled. There is an option in AB to run in 'Single tray icon mode' - User Interface tab. This will essentially hide the RTSS icon and you may not realize it is still running. Make sure this is unchecked. Disable 'Show in OSD' for any monitoring items that you have enabled. Clear your hotkeys for all OSD, screenshot and video capture functions. Click in the box for each hotkey and press Del. Disable any monitoring which depends on RTSS (read documentation). Eventually once you clear enough and press OK, the RTSS icon will disappear as the process shuts down (no longer visible in task manager). I hope there's not a much easier way to keep RTSS from running, my time here would be wasted! I only thought of googling after I wrote this. Let me know ;o)

Deleted4363562User
Your suggestions worked. AB now runs fine and I have fan speed control. Excellent. Thank you.
