Wolfnut88
Sexual dimorphism, the differences in appearance between males and females of the same species, such as in colour, shape, size, and structure, that are caused by the inheritance of one or the other sexual pattern in the genetic material. Super Mutants are not sexually dimorphic. What about them would make them women in your mod?Super mutants are not a separate species. They're still human, just mutated. *See Nigel.Species: a group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreedingSo until they can actually breed, they are not a separate species. This mod would add a second variety of super mutant with more feminine qualities. i.e. The super mutants that were once female retained some of their feminine qualities. Breasts, more feminine face, different fat distribution, higher voice, etc.All the qualities you just stated are the definition of sexual dimorphism. Super Mutants evolved from humans and during their evolutionary process they lost their gender qualities or sexual dimorphism. Yeah a mod could create the females but super mutants aren't male or female to begin anyways.

bigbadlenn
Let's be reallistic, Beth is lazy as s#*! We NEEED Female Super Mutants, even if we are going to have some Supa Mutant race, so yeah, Female Supa Mutant is awesome Idea, I'm still trying to figure how to make the Fo3/NV FSM work at all, but don't having any knowledge in modding makes it a lot more complicated

TeamBacon
Super mutants from DC seem to be too stupid to identify themselves as anything. Mariposa mutants like the ones in Fallout 1 have varying intelligence. The level of radiation the subject had before being thrown into the FEV vat has a very strong impact on the brain function of the resulting mutant. Nightkin were the most superior and intelligent of the Master's super mutants. Generation 1 super mutants from Mariposa were also far superior than what you find later on. The whole reason the Master wanted to take the inhabitants of Vault 13 in Fallout 1 is because the pure genetics of vault dwellers would make optimal super mutants. The higher level super mutants could very well identify themselves as male or female, even though sterilization renders the idea of gender and any sort of family structure for the sake of reproduction useless. However, it is made clear that any secondary sexual attributes on the physical side were pretty much lost in the evolution. I'm not really sure what to think on the Boston super mutants however... But anyways, Bethesda made the right call by not giving the super mutants gender. It would have been a slap in the face to all previous Fallout games to do such, and it would not have been worth it for the very, very, very, very low number of fans who think they need female super mutants. But the beauty of modding is that the minority can make what they dream if they want it bad enough, so I wish you the best of luck with that. Thumbs up to Bethesda for making the right call though. Bisaflor
Vault 87 Terminal Quote from Fallout 3 where the EEP/FEV research happend Incredible results! After only three days, subjects B440, B164 and D624 (all our female specimens) are all exhibiting a unique change. Their bodies are undergoing severe physical changes, losing most of their visible female indicators and transforming to an almost asexual state. They are also seeing increased upper body strength and muscle formation in line with males.Similarly, subjects C376 and A541 (our male specimens) are losing most of their visible male indicators and taking on the same asexual state as the females. It seems that the FEV wishes to "level the playing field" and start with a clean slate as it works. nuff said Let's be reallistic, Beth is lazy as s*** We NEEED Female Super Mutants, even if we are going to have some Supa Mutant race, so yeah, Female Supa Mutant is awesome Idea, I'm still trying to figure how to make the Fo3/NV FSM work at all, but don't having any knowledge in modding makes it a lot more complicated you just dont know nothing thats all, there arent even real male super mutants in the game Edited May 6, 2016 by Bisaflor
AbaddonAlmighty
I'd like to see this. Sure, it's not lore friendly but neither are a lot of things that make the game more fun :P Imagine if you could get a female super mutant companion and romance her lol. Or if her and strong got together. That would be adorable.
